What's new

New user, advice needed for "value" e-liquid brands.

I figured it was worth a try at that price no matter how they turn out. I'ts more about the nicotine to me though, flavour comes second,so long as there's a distinct taste and doesn't taste horrid I think I'll be happy.

As a mouth to lung vapour can I ask what nicotine strength you use yourself? I've been going for 18ml to keep those death stick cravings in check. Though the Halo brand I have seem to have more nicotine than the Oh My God brand despite both being 18ml,on the bottle at least. I know vaping takes longer for the nicotine buzz to kick in though so I've allowed for that.

yeah, I get that... I was exactly the same for a long time, probably a few months until I really felt that I'd kicked smoking for good. When I first started vaping all my effort was like you say, keeping the cravings at bay.... I think I was just lucky that I tried a couple that I really liked in that early period and I've stuck with those pretty much for a year and a half now. I've tried all sorts but I keep going back to my sweet, nutty, spicy tobaccos and similar.

I vape 12mg, that's what I started on ... I switched from about 30 rollies a day to around 5ml of 12mg. My best mate vapes 2ml of 18mg ... I think it depends on what kind of smoker you were, my mate was a lighter smoker and only smoked about 4 fags during the day time, so the 18mg suits him as he now vapes 4 times during the day instead, I used to smoke 4 rollies before getting to work, so I didn't need to go so high. ... I could probably vape 6mg these days but when I do buy a bottle of 6mg I just find I cane through it way too quick, so I stick with the 12mg.

My question is are the "budget" e-liquids really that lower in quality with only really being a few ingredients? Or is is worth paying more for a better brand.

I would have loved to get into DIY liquids but I really suck at maths (this was due to my maths teacher at school being so damn horny and distracting me in the lessons) and wouldn't want to blow my head off.

Since the TPD, if you're buying a liquid with nicotine in it, it would have had to pass stringent testing and toxicology before being submitted to the MHRA for inclusion on the list of 'TPD Notified Products'
So, whether it's £1 a bottle, or £5 a bottle, the quality of ingredients should be there, but this is no guarantee about the quality of the flavour.
Having said that, it's all personal taste anyway, a liquid that one person finds abhorrent could very well be someone else's all-day-vape.

I have a section on my site for DIY liquids, literally just pick a flavour/mix ratio/nic level and throw all the parts together, no maths involved :)

LiQuid are a great start. some of the flavors are a bit meh but the majority are really good and at a great price.
i must have had about 10 orders from them at the start and i certainly wouldnt have kept buying if they were no good.
hers the link worth bookmarking for future reference POTV Vendors & Recommended E Liquid Suppliers
others worth a look are:
drip drop
re juiced
vampire vapes
and as i said above defo manabush for backy flavors with fruit.

Thanks for the input, there's loads to this vaping lark but I'm enjoying a new hobby, beats killing myself slowly with the ciggies anyway.
I'll check your site out.

Sounds like they're pretty good then mate. I'm always wary when a company offer great value,I'm so used to being shafted by the government every day that I forget there can be value to be had on occasion.

I've chose 18mg 60pg/40vg in a few different flavours but so long as I get my nicotine fix I'll be happy, really hope I'm impressed with them.

in a mtl tank these should be fine as higher pg. when i first gave up with a pen type i used 18mg 100% PG for 2 weeks then got a istick and nautilus and great throat hit.
i cut down to 12mg after that.
as said they are no way the best and a few could do with being a bit stronger but they are great for the price.
they make 50,000 bottles a week so theres plenty out there that buy them.

Not sure you should be pushing your products (which may well be excellent) outside of the vendor threads.

Throat hits really important to me,especially the first one of the day, with the 50/50 mix It seems on par with a ciggie or maybe a tad lower so hopefully a 60pg blend will be a tad harder and the coil will soak a little faster after each puff,I've already had my first "dry vape" and can't say I enjoyed it. 50,000 bottle is a fair amount, blimey. Cheers for taking the time for all the advise and input guys,I really do appreciate it with being new to it all.

LiQuid has kept my old man and a few mates of the stinkies for years now - my Dad will only vape their British Tobacco flavour, I've bought him far pricier stuff and he turns his nose up at it. As he says, I only smoked one brand of tobacco so I only need one flavour of eliquid - finding the one flavour you like is the tricky part, though good fun trying. You'll get a good throat hit from the 18mg LiQuid.

Also remember that you are getting the nicotine that you need from vaping but not all the other crap that you used to get from smoking; your body will be craving all the other crap and you think you aren't getting enough nicotine, you are. Give it a few weeks/a month on the vape and the cravings for all the other chemicals found in cigs will subside ;)

I've been quite impressed with the tobacco flavours I've tried so far, except the virginia tobacco from Oh My God,it didn't taste of anything at all,not a hint. I'm getting a decent throat hit from the 50/50 liquid so hoping these ones will be a tad better even. It's easy to overdo it when vaping though, had a fair few nicotine head rushes where it's caught up but then all my cravings go away for ages, not like with the smokes when I wanted another after only 30 mins.

Hard to imagine how many chemicals we were inhaling with the cigs, cheers for that mate. Must say on the whole though I'm enjoying vaping more aside from the cravings ,my chest no longer wheezes and I don't stink. Plus I'll save a fortune in the long run. I'm a massive video game fan so I keep thinking of all the new games I can buy with the extra cash in my pocket,we're all different :2thumbsup:
