Hi I am looking into moving off cigs, I have done some reading/research, nevertheless I am fairly confused by the tons of options available, I really would be grateful from some advice from the 'experienced' guys on this knowledgable forum

I am in the UK, smoke 15/18 Chesterfield Blue cigarettes a day (0.5-0.6 mg of nicotine).
I am not interesting in big clouds, just a closer experience to a standard cig would do me for now

1 - What Ejuice nicotine strength would be a good choice? .3/.6/.12/?

2 - Looking at mods I liked the Innokin Coolfire IV Plus, and would imagine to use this with an 2.00 ohm coil, then again it did seem a little too far up the learning curve I am also keen on the simpler Innokin Endura T22 2000mAh Starter Kit 1.5 ohm.
I don't like the basic thinner e cigs.

Thanks Marcus

Hi Marcus.
The Endura T22 is a really good starter kit, I have several friends using them and the smaller T18 as they start switching. My tip is always to buy two so that a. you have a back up to hand and less less likely to fall back on the smokes and b. you can have two flavours on the go.

I'd recommend 18mg/ml initially, to kill the cravings for a cig., then drop gradually once you've been vaping for a few weeks and not dual fuelling (using fags and vapes.)

The key will be to find two or three flavours that you really like, so there's even less temptation to smoke again.
Good luck

+1 for the advice above from @scrumpox I bought my mum a T18 to get her off the ciggies and she's getting on really well with it even though she was really suspicious and sceptical when I first presented it to her. I believe the T22 is similar probs more fancy than the T18 but they both look very straightforward to use. I started my mum off with 18mg nic liquids - just a random selection of stuff from http://www.onepoundeliquid.com/ coz its cheap and a good way to see what juice is gonna suit you. Ofc you'll have to find your sweet spot as regards to nic strength, everyones different :)

I wish you all the very best in your endeavour to quit the ciggies. Feel free to ask here if theres anything you want to know and we'll all do our best to help you - we've all been where you are at one point :)

Good advice from scrumpox & yappycat. I'd also suggest avoiding high vg liquids to start off with too as they are more for clouds. A higher pg will give you more of a throat hit. Also make sure you buy spare coils.

What he said ^^^^^
About £20 for a T18 and you will need some replacement coils for about £7.
Examples, but shop around

eLiquid (juice) will be your biggest challenge, and don't expect it to taste like a cigarette. Best to avoid tobacco flavours at the start and go for simple flavours like menthol or peppermint. You will need to experiment till you find a couple of flavours that you can live with, so expect to waste a bit of money on juice in the early stages. You will need to dedicate a coil to each flavour because you won't be able to wash out the previous flavour.
I started with onepoundeliquid juice and personally like menthol, mint blast, banana, aniseed, coconut, strawberry milkshake, but taste is extremely subjective.

There's a list of juice vendors in this thread https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...e-liquid-hardware-suppliers.78467/#post858319

Manabush and PFVapes, who are both members on this forum, do really excellent premium juice.

Best of luck in your vaping journey. I smoked rollups for 50 years and really wished I'd packed it in years ago.

Thank you guys for your helpful advice, expanding it further.... you also answered a question that I haven't asked yet.

I was wondering if the mod stopped functioning, got damaged etc, how do I handle it, would I then go back on cigs until I get a replacemenet? Imagine a long weekend fiddling about with the mod trying to getting it to work !!!!.
There it is, @scrumpox mentioned about getting two, I cannot agree more, they are not expensive at around £20 and as a plus you can also swap between two flavours on the go. So thanks for that.

But, there is more:
Ok picture this, I am set, got all the stuff ready, primed the coil and here I am taking the first puffs, hummmm, not too sure about this flavour, but it doesn't matter, I know I have to test a few before I can find what works for me, so my question now is:
I finished puffing, put the mod down, next time I fancy a smoke, can I go back to my cigs for one quick easy hit, or should I persist with the mod and cut the cigs out altogether ?

And, @yappycat and @scrumpox have mentioned 18 mg initially, I was going to go for 6 , maybe 12 as the very maximum, so I was quite mistaken there.

am I correct in saying that:
PG/VG ratio is fixed in relation to Nicotine strength, so no different ratios available?
24mg/ml - 65(PG) / 35(VG) - strong throat hit / average vapour.
18mg/ml - 60(PG) / 40(VG) - good throat hit / good vapour.
10/12mg/ml - 50(PG) / 50(VG) - medium throat hit / excellent vapour.
6mg/ml - 45(PG) / 55(VG) - mild throat hit / excellent vapour.
0mg/ml - 40(PG) / 60(VG) - no throat hit / massive vapour.

About age verification, uploading photo identification via email etc, is this the norm with all the sellers? How safe is that?, Can't they just use the credit/debit card as verification?

Was looking at this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Innokin-En...qid=1480899296&sr=1-1&keywords=INNOKIN+Endura

and this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Innokin-En...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=W20V6M1HQCBA679JCH6C

I think that you can scratch the box for the code to check for authenticity, so I guess these are original , not fakes ?!?

I really appreciate your posts and thank you for the time you have taken helping me out. Things are slowly coming together and making sense, I also hope this helps others with similar questions/issues.

Cheers Marcus

Great advice. With LiQuid I believe that, yes, the PG/VG levels are fixed for each nic level. They are a reputable company that many of us have bought from - I started with their juices too. I started on 18mg but fairly quickly went down to 12mg, though I still keep a tank of 18mg (of LiQuid's RY4) on hand for the occasional ciggie craving 'emergencies' - I find it really helps to be able to up the ante a bit.

How you start is really up to you - personally I started by just taking my vape out with me and trying to use it instead of those habitual ciggies you tend to just smoke when you don't really want one, and then as I found more flavours I liked I started replacing more and more of the cigarettes I smoked with the vape. I know others on here, however, have taken one toot on the vape and never looked back at tobacco. It will work however you want it to, as long as you DO want it to. Good luck! :)

Another piece of advice is don't beat yourself up if you do give in and have a fag, count the ones you don't smoke, not the ones you do.

Loads of us dual fuelled for a bit, some still do, if you persevere you'll gradually smoke less and less, don't be fooled into dropping nic strength yet either, plenty of time to try that once you understand how vaping works for you.

Good luck bud [emoji106] and remember we're all family here so you can always tap us us for support and advice.

T18 or Aspire K2 and Cubana 18mg from T-Juice.

imo, the K2 is easier to work with and the coils are readily available. Cubana is a naturally extracted tobacco juice, perfect for new switchers.

+1 for the T22. Nic level is a personal thing, I started on 6mg and worked my way down to zero.
