Nicotine strength & Mod ?

@kojak - I've never had to verify my age with a vendor in any way other than just confirming I'm 18+ before entering their site I didn't realise that any sellers required photo/email id and tbh I would just buy elsewhere if I came across a vendor asking for that sort of info before I was able to buy anything. Way too intrusive and time consuming imo - who is asking for that kind of info from you? Sounds nuts to me.

Also start with whatever nic level you feel will suit you, 18mg is just the general level at which the majority of new quitters start vaping at - you need to be confident that vaping will deal with your physical nic craving before you can start dealing with the psychological aspect of your attachment to smoking. Quitting the cigs for good isn't just about nicotine substitution but at the very initial stages it's one of the most important things to get right. Try buying a few liquids at different nic levels and see what works for you. I started on 18mg on +ohm coils but wasn't able to quit 100% until I switched to -ohm coils at 3mg, what works for one person can be quite different to what works for the next :)

As others have said don't beat yourself up if you don't quit 100% straight away, every cig you don't smoke is a small victory. I get the impression that you're somewhat fearful about giving up the cigs - it's a very strong physical and psychological addiction, there's nothing wrong at feeling trepidation. Try not to think about in terms of quitting smoking, think of it in terms of taking up vaping instead. Think of it as a gain rather than a loss. Also stick around here, this is a vaping forum rather than a quit smoking forum, but you'll get just as much support here and we're a lot more cheerful and fun ;)

I agree on the t22. Nic level is a personal thing, but given the amount you previously smoked I would start somewhere between 12-18 and work your way down. If you don't get that nicotine hit from the vape your body/brain will have no incentive to switch. I tried starting at a low mg once a few years ago for about a week and I was used to smoking nearly a pack of Marlboro reds a day. The vape just couldn't cut it in terms of replacing that at a low mg so i went back to cigs out of habit and need for nicotine.
It's all personal of course but there's lots of good advice in this thread. Definitely don't beat yourself up, as above it is all about the ones you don't smoke, not the ones you do. Good luck pal and welcome to the planet!

About: http://www.onepoundeliquid.com/
am I correct in saying that:
PG/VG ratio is fixed in relation to Nicotine strength, so no different ratios available?
24mg/ml - 65(PG) / 35(VG) - strong throat hit / average vapour.
18mg/ml - 60(PG) / 40(VG) - good throat hit / good vapour.
10/12mg/ml - 50(PG) / 50(VG) - medium throat hit / excellent vapour.
6mg/ml - 45(PG) / 55(VG) - mild throat hit / excellent vapour.
0mg/ml - 40(PG) / 60(VG) - no throat hit / massive vapour.

Was looking at this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Innokin-En...qid=1480899296&sr=1-1&keywords=INNOKIN+Endura

and this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Innokin-En...coding=UTF8&psc=1&refRID=W20V6M1HQCBA679JCH6C

I think that you can scratch the box for the code to check for authenticity, so I guess these are original , not fakes ?!?

As @Crewella said onepoundeliquid fix the VG/PG ratio according to nic strength, but other vendors are more flexible. With regard to nic strength you could always get an 18mg and a 12mg of same flavour to see which you prefer, and this is cheap juice so you can afford to experiment. Also, you can mix equal volumes of 18mg and 12mg to make up a 15mg, without loss of flavour. If you start to get a slight headache it means you have over dosed but it goes away after about an hour of stopping the vape. Mods tend to be like dummies so you will find it's in your hand all the time, so can be easy to overdo the nic.
I started on 18mg and came down to 12mg after a month of no cigarettes, but I'm now slowly moving to 6mg after 7 months of vaping. I was dual fuelling for about a fortnight at the start and it's worth keeping a diary of how many fags you smoke - the first smoke free day is something to be proud of.
Don't get tempted to try loads of flavours at the beginning - some of the onepoundeliquid juices are frankly unvapeable and will go down the toilet. Try to establish two or three that you can vape all day to get off the fags, and then branch out.

Either of the T22s you linked to will be fine, perhaps get both to save on postage, but do get some spare coils.

All genuine Innokin products have a scratch and check code on the box.

I've bought T22s and T18s off Amazon for friends .... the authenticity was fine. The only difference between the two is that the T22 mod is 2000mah instead of the T18s 1000mah.
They both come with 2 x 1.5ohm coils, so add a pack of 5 spare coils to the order, which is only £5-£6. Each coil will last you 1-2 weeks depending on the juice and how much you vape.
They are very straightforward to use, no adjustment needed. You can also buy the tanks separately for about a tenner if you want more juices on the go.

50/50 PG/VG would be about right, avoid those juices with higher levels of VG for optimum performance. Thicker juices, especially in the cold weather, wick a lot slower and may lead to dry hits.

Will power is also required, you'll need some determination to quit as you adapt from smoking to vaping, that's why finding the right flavours is an essential part of the equation. Eventually, you'll hate the taste from fags, you'll wonder why you didn't quit sooner.

Thank you all for the advice I am ever so grateful for your excellent help, I am slowly but surely getting to grip with it.

I am undecided between the T22 and the Aspire K2, the K2 has a smaller tank, 2 mil and battery 1200 mAH, but it is lighter and less bulky to carry around. The T22 has a 4mil tank and 2000 mAH battery.

I know one can't just give an exact estimate, there are many factors that have to be considered, but as a general rule using a 1.5/1.8 coil:
1 - How many 'moderate' Mouth to Lung cig like puffs you get from a 2 mil tank 70/ 30, 50/50 juice ?
2 - How many similar puffs a 1200 mAH battery can cope with?

Basically I would not want to run out of juice when I am out (or need to refill), or battery power before the end of the day, as mentioned in my first post I smoke 15/18 a day.

Also are the coils ready available and about the same in price for both models?

Cheers Marcus

You could always get both and use one at home and one for out and about and as the spare - just remember to buy coils for both. That way you don't have tp decide! ;)

I would say a mod, juice, coils and battery would cost around £50-70 which is maby a weeks worth of fags. It's worth it in my opinion. I'm sure I wouldn't be the only one on here that feels that you get everything you want out of vaping from what you would out of fags. In all honesty I never struggled, mainly due to a routine. My main thing was make a cuppa have a fag, you can still do that with vaping and get your fix, but vape indoors and not smell like arse and have dog shit breath lol. I started with a eleaf Istick pico. I started at around 15-20w on 18mg cheap eliquid and sinse bought a better atomiser and better liquid and vape around 40watt at 6mg nic. I think you need to bite the bullet and purchase one, you won't look back trust me. You will notice your health improve in as little as 2days, no horrible cough, fleminess goes, you get better feeling in your gums and you start feeling so much better in yourself.

@Cn1234 Thanks for your comment. Finally went for the T22, coming by early next week, unfortunately, next week I am away until before Christmas, I suppose that gives me something to look forward and more time to learn about vaping.

Well all I need to do now is :
Work out the best juice pg vg ratio for the T22 (50/50 followed by 70/30 I think) ,
Best juice quality n price sellers,
What flavors,
And the nicotine %, which I am pondering between 12 or 18. (Now smoking 15/18 a day 6mg nicotine)

Piece of cake. NOT.:56:

Cheers Marcus

You will be fine Marcus, don't stress. I wish you all the luck, make sure you let us know how you get on once you start vaping and keep us updated :). Regarding nicotine strength I personally would start at 18mg. I was smoking like you, 15/18 Mayfair a day and I found 18mg hit the spot, after about 2weeks I went to 12mg. I would advise like the other have starting at 18mg as the last thing you want is to not be getting enough of a hit from it.
