Nicotine strength & Mod ?

Hi Marcus, just wanted to wish you luck and to echo what a lot of others have said about not putting too much pressure on youself initially to quit smoking outright and about thinking more in terms of exploring a new hobby which is enjoyable in its own right.

The other thing to be aware of is that (at least in my experience) nicotine is absorbed a bit differently and more slowly from vaping than from smoking - you don't get so much of an instant nicotine hit so I'd try to vape little and often to keep your nicotine levels topped up. I found that by waitng till my body was craving a cig not only was it really hard to opt to vape instead, but also I'd actually vape too much all at once trying to get that instant fix and end up feeling a bit sick (not an association you want to create!).

Most importantly, relax and enjoy it! I used to assume vaping was just something people resorted to in a grimly desperate effort not to smoke - surely they couldn't be getting any pleasure from sucking on those silly tube things! I've never been so happy to be completely wrong about something.

Sasz (currently sucking on one of those silly tube things and not missing the cigs one bit!)

This is the most surprising thing to me. I always associated vaping with either massive clouds of sickly sweet berry stuff or those horrible little cig-a-lite things. That it would never match the real thing. Now I'm finding not only do I have no desire for a cig, vaping some delicious tobacco/vanilla/caramel mixes is far more enjoyable than smoking a cigarette. The flavour, the throat hit, the fun of trying new kits and liquids. I also seem to have cut down on sugary things too! Its just been a win-win situation so far.

Thanks, very sensible comments/advice. I imagine soon it will be just like second nature. I am not interested in the big cloud chasing scene at the moment, but who knows how it will develop?
Done quite a bit of reading and research, all I need now is to find a good juice source and dealer,
Got these in my list :
http://www.manabush.com/store/manabush-pick-and-mix/manabush-the-full-range-18mg
http://myepack.co.uk/50-50-e-liquid.html
Looking here too: http://www.vapeclub.co.uk/vaping-ejuices.html

Can't order too many as I would need to change the coil for each new flavour.
I don't suppose coils can be washed out and dried if only used for a few testing puff?

One thing that puzzle me is: the endura T22 has a 4 mil tank, so:
Does the tank need to be at least 1/4. 1/2 full to avoid burning the coil or dry hits?
And if there is a minimum quantity that needs to be in the tank, roughly how many puffs can you get out of it from full before there is a need to top up?

Thanks mates
Cheers Marcus

Hello bud. Glad your getting on ok. Sadly yes I wouldn't let the t22 get lower than a quarter full. As the coils and cotton run all the way to the top. And get into the habit of turning the mod downwards in your hand after a draw. This helps keep the entire cotton saturated. In time I will get round to sending you an aspire nautilus but I'm a bit house bound at the minute. The nautilus is about as good as it gets for a stock mtl tank and the coil is in the base so you don't have to worry about the coil. Try that manabush if you can.

Just what I needed to know, manbush is definetely in my shopping list.

Manabush is an excellent choice @ZT is a fount of wisdom on it (Since he actually makes the stuff), as for other juices - Vapeclub is a good choice for a wide range of juices on one site but I'd imagine you'll find your taste's will develop as you progress, My initial decision was to keep away from Tobacco flavours as they just felt a bit too much like still smoking to me, however it's a personal decision, You may find a tendency towards fruit flavours, or Bakery tyes - or you might turn into a "Flavour Tart", where just one type isn't enough. I do tend toward Fruit & Menthol type vapes such as Vampire Vapes Attraction, T-Juice Clara T and Red Astaire (Or it's Vampire vape alternative Blood Sukka), Mr Krakens Shade - But I also switch out to things like El Diablo's Beelzebub and Passion bomb or Cotswold Vapours Custard Doughnut...

I have a T18 I use for work - when changing flavours I've always just wrapped the coil in kitchen towel for a couple of hours to try to blot out as much of the old juce as possible. It does taste weird for a bit while the new flavour's coming through (and some flavours linger longer than others).

After reading your post I tried rinsing a coil in warm water as an experiment - seemed to get rid of more of the old juice smell than blotting, but when I went to use it again I got a massive burnt hit. Could be coincidence, could be that 36 hours wasn't enough to dry it out properly (it's cold in here!), but I won't be trying that again!

hi when i started out i used the t22 battery life is good and lasts most of the day as for the coils i whent and bought another tank so i could swap flavours through the day i started on 18ml nic and that was the start of something thats now a hobby as well as keeping off the fags :2thumbsup:

Yes @kamido another tank , or a second mod is always good, in my post I was looking for a tip, if any available, so not to waste a new coil after just a few minutes usage if the liquid turned out not to my liking. So @Sasz

I am sorry mate, maybe using a warm setting on a hair dryer for a few minutes turning the coil on the opposite sides would have a less disastrous result. Liquid always drain to the lowest part, if you keep it in the same position, the top will be dry but the bottom could still be damp.

Something else that I might consider in future is DIY ejuice > . here basic fruit flavouring 18 mg nicotine base, unflavoured e-liquid with a 50%/50% PG/VG mixture 100ml comes at about £75 for litre quantities, compare that to £400 from some seller could be worth experimenting. That's more expensive than a bottle of champagne Dom Pérignon 1995 vintage. FFS. But for now let's walk before we can run :27:

I just want to thank everyone that have taken the time to help me with my journey in this mysteriousely complicated but fascinating world of vaping, my latest step is bringing me close to a full circle in my 'research' into vapeworld magic.

Here are the results from Marcus jury:

Chosen the Endura T22
Sorted the nic strength
Amost done with the first juices choice > https://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/...fruit-flavour-for-my-t22.125945/#post-1370932

So......
A Great Thank you to this forum and in particular to the members that help me to shed some of my ignorance on vaping .

Cheers Marcus
