got the kids every weekend ... except the 20th ... when Im off to prague to see depeche mode

You lucky lucky man. Have seen them live a fair few times in this country and also once in Paris. They will be fabulous as ever I'm sure.

Yes the lion is a little off centre, but it is on main tram route so easy to get to, and also has a car park for any drivers. Some of the staff there are vapers (had a good chat with them yesterday) and I believe the landlord is too. Dropping them a quick bell or whatever to arrange something may be good, as if anyone wanted to do a stall or whatever they may well allow it if arranged in advance, if only to be able to get some more goodies for themselves, what with Nottingham itself being a bit crap for purchases. !0th of August is good for me I think, and would love to be able to come. Workwise I am not able to take a sickie, and do work a fair few weekends as well. Could maybe get a dya off if given enough notice but is by no means garuanteed. And NOT september 7th/8th weekend if at all poss as it's my birthday and am hoping to go and see leonard cohen in birmingham.... probably last chance we'll get as he's 79 now.

so that is 2 possible good venues ... I had a chat with the guys in The Salutation yesterday ... and they are up for it as well

Im erring slightly towards the Sal ... coz its so central... but .. that could change as yet

The Sal is very good central location, and plenty of space there too. My local in hucknall the red lion also fairly vape friendly but they ask you not to vape near bar area inside. In this current weather though have been going outside more often than not anyway. But nice to know the option is there for when the weather is less good.

There is seating outside the Sal as well .. if I remember right ..
