I mean morally - they'll do anything they're allowed to do. And if you what you say is right about the CR laws then maybe the european and US mod makers need to pull their fingers out and TM their stuff in China!

Thats the basics of it and it is true as it has been discussed on here before You HAVE to tm/cr your stuff IN china to avoid cloning/copying/trademark infringement ect

Every one keeps giving the clone meaning to ONLY high end mods and such, which is a load of bollocks.

First of all, every single atomiser on the market, is a CLONE of something else. Those genny tanks you all love so much? Stolen from THE Genesis Tank, regardless of what ever it looks like, (Kraken, Cobra, ect) Yes even those high end ones If you aren't getting your EGO's from Janty/Joyetech, your Kanger and Vision EGO's are just clones...if you aren't getting your cigalikes from Ruyan, they're clones.
If you want to break it down into technicalities, we can certainly do that! But in order to fight against the clones, you have to be JUST as passionate and protective of the cloned egos, atomisers, genny tanks, ect ect ect.

Otherwise, the passion against the clones is misguided at best, just like the passion for them is. Ever look at your IR Remote for your TV? What was the first brand to invent that? Everything that followed...a clone.
First toaster? Everything that followed... a clone. Every one of you who has a PC in front of you...a clone. Every TV with a big fancy name on it? 9 times out of 10 the screen is from LG...lie? clone? fake? Does it work?
You download movies, programs or music from torrenting sites? We could get into ALL kinds of rights and wrongs of the world but what FOR? There are MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN LIFE (like NOT smoking and dying of cancer) than what device any of us are using. As long as it works.

Unfortunately, most of us are mistakenly assuming that our opinions are the right ones and like I quoted earlier from NdT, either im wrong, youre wrong, or we both are. For or against clones or somewhere in the void teetering on which side to defect to, neither side of the argument is the right one.

The HCIGAR stuff I have is great. The nem, kayfun, kylin, all top notch, look nice, feel nice, and perform as they should.

I havent bought from FT for ages because the quality and customer service is abysmal.

KulrMeStoopid I'm just waiting for some mech mods from FT should get it soon now; was going to add a kick and wondered if the Smoktech kick for £14.99 from grey haze is any good, as i can't afford the evolve kick for £36? Do you think it's okay? Don't think i'd get the Ft kicks..

Ive not used the SmokTech one, I have a Sigelie kick and it works fine

that is actually a very good point and one that never really gets talked about. Tbh I'd never really thought of it that way, but in my defence I don't buy clones. Personally I've never felt the need for loads of mods anyway. The last hardware I bought was my roller and kfl from vapefest as I wanted to buy myself a nice treat. I will do the same this year too. I'd rather have one or two nice original mods than loads of choice. I'm the same with everything else though (I have 2 pairs of trainers, 2 pairs of walking boots and a pair of smart shoes for emergencies because it don't need anything else and can't be arsed with making too many choices in the morning!).

While this is the case in some productions the reason these clones are so cheap and believe me they are mostly 1.1 copies is because they use CNC machines pretty much a 3d printer of lathes which automates the process, the original is scanned into a computer then it pumps out identical copies. Ive owned pretty much most mods and spent a fortune over the last 4 years that Ive been on the scene, I'd love to say that these copies are poor but they are actually identical. Clothing is a very different process time consuming and yes sweat shops, electronics is very different.

I know this is a very emotive subject but unfortunately china has the technology to mass produce while the mod maker doesn't manually making this stuff on a lathe is very time consuming and unfortunately this was inevitable. At the end of the day the vaping community has grown at a vast rate and demand is fastly increasing beyond the supply.
