POTV charges vendors to be on the forum WHA?? PSA

We only caught wind of this, this morning and we wanted to clear it up asap via our site in case any vendor or member thought that it might be true!

It appears someone may be really misinformed as POTV doesn't charge vendors anything to be on POTV!

Of course we have a few options for vendors to choose from, advertising for free via the forum posts, advertising via the header and footer, and the Marketplace (which is free for vendors to set up!), but that is entirely up to the vendor! POTV never pressures vendors to get involved in the Marketplace or to pay for premium advertising, just lets them know the available options. We do that by directing them to our rules and requirements when they express interest in becoming a vendor here on POTV, which they read and after that, its up to them!

This was most likely stated by a vendor (as indicated in the aaec thread) that is not involved with POTV and who has no clue how POTV works, or by one of the very FEW vendors that POTV has had an issue with in regards to their practises and who quite possibly have been trying to spread disinformation about POTV (More to come about that in the near future!) We have added nearly 10 new vendors (not to mention the over 120 we had all ready) this week alone who can verify at no time that POTV ever asked for any money to be identified as a vendor here.

So this isnt being posted for anyone to have a dig at anyone on AAEC, they're full of good people and are a great forum too. So if the person who posted that on AAEC sees this, please get in touch so that we can talk about what was said, because it's simply not true!

PS Some vendors choose to place their discount all ready into the prices they put up on the MP for their items. Right now because of the Multi Vendor set up, the MP is unable to support single codes to cover multiple vendors as not all vendors offer the same discounts.

I've only made a couple purchases from the POTV marketplace was pleased with both of them. Personally, I don't think discount codes should be taken for granted anyway and the real bonus with the marketplace is the convenience of being able to order different products from different vendors without having to trawl through several web pages to find the specific products.

Just my two penneth (although it only comes to 1.8 penneth after using a code).

I would assume that this is probably one of those little 'anti' statements laid by a vendor who may have been asked to go away or kicked off recently.
I remember someone being booted not too long ago. They were there, then they were gone.
Anyway would be stupid to speculate and glad it's cleared up.
