Priming Problem

Hi Cliffyboy.

I know it's higher than most people use nicotine wise but I was a heavy smoker and have considered getting an even higher mg juice so I'm using it less often.

As for priming the coils it seems I'm doing a lot more than is required so I'm wondering if I've purchased faulty coils. Is this a possibility perhaps, as I'd like find out how many I need to buy with the problems I've had with these recent ones. Surely all 3 can't be bad but only got one left and wanted make sure I'm doing it right before I try my last one. At £5 a go I don't really want be breaking any more.

As for swapping the coils, when I put it back together and turn it on there is a new coil prompt on the mod. Can't remember what ohms they are other than they're very low.

How do you inhale the vapour on your tank? Are you taking into your mouth then stopping the draw on your mod and then inhaling Into your lungs?(MTL) or directly sucking the vapour into your lungs?(DTL)

Not that I think it matters much as vaping 60PG with high nicotine at That power I suspect it's going to seem like the coil is not working correctly as it's ripping the back of your throat out and the foul taste will be the nicotine that's overpowering everything as at that high level it's made for a lower powered device

Sounds like you don't need a cloud beast but a simple mouth to lung tank with higher ohm coil at 10-20watts and then you can vape 18-20mg quite easily.

Hi guys, the first vape I had was a mouth to lung but since swapping to this alien I've been using it direct to lung. Did take a day or so get used to using one that way admittedly as it's not like smoking.

As for the taste, up until what I suspect was the coil failing it was fine. I could taste the flavour of the juice perfectly and a lot more than the original vape/pen. The throat ripping you mention I haven't yet experienced, just a nasty burnt taste since swapping coils. Is purchasing another vape the only other real option as this will be the 3rd in under a month?

Sorry for all the questions but I genuinely don't understand why or what I'm doing wrong. If I go to a lower mg juice Il be using a lot more everyday and at 12mg I'm using roughly 25- 30ml a day as it is

You don't need another kit but maybe best to think of another tank. Smok coils at best are average as their QC has gone to pot in the last couple of years. Many posts about coils only lasting a day and then the burnt hit and too many of them is not good for your health.
You are priming the smok coils correctly and starting low but the higher Pg juice will give more of a throat hit as well.
Worth a look if not now but for the future is the freemax mesh pro tank which coils are lasting me around 3 weeks even with very high sweetener juice or the falcon tank. I didn't think much to their M2 coils so am waiting on a delivery from China of the new M3 mesh coils.

Are these a straight swap or will I need something else so they fit? Need to find something that works as I hadn't smoked from boxing day until I gave in yesterday afternoon. I could do with finding some coils that last as long as you say, longest ones lasted me so far was 4 or 5 days and that was on the previous vape pen.

Kind of hoped vaping would of been a lot cheaper than what I was spending smoking but as it stands I'm easily spending 2 to 3 times more

The hardest bit is at the beginning. It took me around 18 months before I started saving money but I was buying shit loads like it was going out of fashion. After 4 years I'm easily 8-10 grand in pocket.

Almost all tanks will fit on almost all Mods as they all have the same universal 510 screw in connection.
It's easy to say that my coils last for ages but that's not taking into account I'm using loads of kits in one day.
The only two I'm using for work is the JAC vapour vim and these coils last at least a month. The other is the freemax mesh pro at 60w on my vaporesso armour pro and that's been going for 3 weeks now. So too and from work and two breaks a day chucking clouds. When home though it's not used as on the custards so maybe half the time in usage but the flavour is still the same as the day I inserted the coil.

Looks like I'm going to be buying even more stuff then. I called on my local vape shop and bought a bottle of juice that's 80%pg and 6mg of nicotine along with another 2 different coils to try. Did everything I did before and left to sit for an hour or so.

Still exactly the same as before I genuinely can't afford to vape at this rate. I'm 4 coils down in 48 hours. Nothing seems to prime.

Vaping high pg juice is very harsh on the throat when vaping direct to lung.
Tbh i think your post title (priming problem) may have lead to some of the replies you have been given.
Look again at my previous post and trust me when i say 70% VG juice @ 3 or 6mg will solve your issues.

On another note if you are being advised to put high pg juice through your tfv12 coils by a vape store, you need to find another shop as that advide is piss poor.

Too much pg for that kit,it will choke you to death,you need a higher vg than pg for dtl vaping,I've got some 80 pg dark tobacco, it's ok in a mouth to lung but so harsh in direct to lung mod
