Firstly thank you to all who gave me advice here:

http://www.planetofthevapes.co.uk/f...y-introduction-to-vaping-and-where-next/page3

I purchased a Vamo variable voltage wattage etc. Nice

Firstly praise: I brought a baby octopus dripper . For new Vapers like myself I should like to state that this is a dripping atomiser. It consists of a wick with 8 ends and a coil. You drip in a few drops of juice and put a drip tip on and away you go. Drip in a few more and puff a bit more. Common wisdom is that this gives good flavour and vapour and is good to try a few drops of juice but not suitable for all day vaping as it is fiddly.

My conclusions are that it is not much more effort than getting a cigarette out of a packet finding your lighter and having a fag. I use my dripper a lot and there is nothing to go wrong with it. I dropped a few drops as I left home and vaped on my walk to the station. A good buy . I got mine from vapercaper.

My Kanger pro tank.

This looks the nuts. Solid build glass and steel. Excellent reputation. But..... I am sucking juice with my vapour. I cant work out if i have overtightened something or under tightened something or brocken something. I replaced the head and bottom circular thing that the head goes in as I brought spares but still as I draw I feel liquid on the roof of my mouth and tounge.

Taking it off the mod and blowing from the bottom expells tiny dropletts from the mouthpiece. Somewhere I read that this happens if the tank is not full but the tank is full. This did not happen on the first evening I used it.

I am at a loss as to what to do or why this is happening.

Any suggestions please?

Richard

If you're sucking juice with your vape then your ProTank is flooding. Too much e-liquid is getting to the coil which means you're not getting enough vapour out of it (cos the e-liquid is making the coil too cold) and you're slurping up juice.

If you take the long metal post thing off of a ProTank head underneath that you can see a couple of pieces of wick resting ontop of the coiled wick.

(to see this on video watch this and skip to 24:38)

In that video Phil describes removing a wick, which is what you would do if not enough e-liquid is getting to the coil, in this case you want to try adding a wick.

If you want to clear out juice that has flooded an evod or a ProTank or any bottom coil kind of clearo you do this by blowing it out. Basically you put some paper towel under the 510 connection and blow through the mouthpiece. Juice will come out, and when juice stops coming out it should wrk fine after that. If you do this it's really important to blow upside down as otherwise the air pressure you put into it when you blow drives more e-liquid into the coil. What you are trying to do is blow air into the coil. It doesn't have to be vertically upwards just tilted enough so that the liquid is away from the coil when you blow into it. If you blow out a PT pointing downwards so that the coil is submerged in e-liquid you can make the flooding worse.

You might find that blowing it out clears up the flooding problem for you without you needing to do anything to the wicks in the coil head, sometimes actually taking wicks out of the head solves a flooding problem as well.

I have had no such problems with my protank and been using it for couple of months, maybe try a thicker juice with more vg?

I had this problem with my 2nd pro tank. Didn't matter what I did, it continued. It also started to make the draw tighter and tighter. I guess the liquid was starting to close up the air hole, even though I kept washing it. I sent it back in the end and they sent me a new one.
