rethinking flavour

I liked the post you posted after you edited your post because i saw @zouzounaki 's quote of the post that you posted and agreed with it :2thumbsup:

I think sweetners have no place in juice and i think the people that use them do so because they are either cheeping it or dont know what they're doing.

I'm with you. I fucking detest sweetners. I only really vape fruity flavours and am slowly finding concentrates that go together to make a sweet juice without having to resort to the awful taste of supersweet or the other synthetic tasting shite.

If a concentrate needs sweetening - they have not got it right in the first place - sweeteners are fine as part of the original concentrates flavour makeup

A lot of the flavourings you use will already have sweetener in it - that should be all it needs

The above is my opinion on it
Maybe reality is you can catch a lot of customers by sweetening your juice - a lot of people like super sweet things - if you are so inclined.

im not personally.

Very sweet is a flavour profile loved by many tho

Boom!
I'll also add though that i think @domejunky is onto something.
Vapourisation and the hardware to do so is improving and as such even me with my shot taste buds is noticing dialling back the flavours is a thing.

I like sweet juice, but I shit you not it makes my teeth ache if I make it too sweet.

Going back to the original post I’m an ex (heavy) smoker - ergo my taste buds are fucked. A mixing percentage is usually something I exceed if anything rather than go low on [emoji2371]

I'm not sure I understand that bit, considering the first part of your post. Added sweetener is added sweetener, whether it's in a concentrate - are we talking one shots or single flavours? Or added on it's own, say as part of a five flavour mix :hmm:

Thanks ZT. That's what I've been trying to do. Find concentrates with the right amount of sweetner to complement the other flavours I use, rather than just pumping in extra. Some are a bit more realistic fruit, some candied etc. It's finding the balance I like that I find quite hard sometimes. I go through a lot of single flavour testers just trying to find the right level for me.

And sometimes the single flavours are just what I'm looking for so I just stick with those.
