Returning Vaper Confused by all the Latest Kit!

Hi Everyone

I was a regular vaper back in 2013 but developed a severe PG allergy. There wasn't a great deal in the way of 100% VG on the UK market back then and I ended up going back to analogues! Anyway, with all the developments during the past 5 years I wanna give it another shot - but have lots of questions! Will do my due research to see what I can answer myself but will be posting questions to the experts no doubt!

Hi Flipside - for sure.

It took a while for me to work out what was going on as my throat was OK-ish - but my eyes were itchy and inflamed and I had seriously chronic "bubbly guts". Sorry - but that's the only way to describe it. I had 4 bouts of gasto-enteritis on a 3 month trip to South America in 2008 and ever since then have had bizarre digestive symptoms - so it's possible that made me extra sensitive. Anyway, I eventually narrowed it down to the PG. I switched to e-liquids with just PG in the flavourings but couldn't even tolerate those. Given that it was 2013 I started importing 100% VG liquids from the USA - but had issues with some of these as well. I persevered for a while and discovered that I also couldn't tolerate VG derived from palm oil!! This put a serious spanner in the works and I had no choice except to make my own e-liquid from concentrate (I was using the Crave brand from Canada) and non-palm oil VG that I think I was buying from Amazon (had to ask a fair few questions from suppliers).

I suspect I had nowhere near the right set-up kit wise as I was constantly getting dry hits and mouthfuls of e-juice. About the same time my life got seriously hectic and I stopped vaping as I didn't have time to clean all the equipment, do the builds, etc. I lasted 2 years before succumbing to the analogues again There's so much more choice now on the 100% VG front and loads more info out there than there used to be so am hopeful...
