What's new

Samsung 30Q back in stock!

batteries arrived before the mod so thanks Ben.

mod finally arrived 2 days late so cube ultra to add to the ever growing collection.

Yes, that ideal slim postbox slit they use as a yardstick! They would fit through most people's letterboxes in reality!
This probably explains why a lot of places charge so much for 26650s ...

Would that charge cover cost of posting a pair? If your unit prices are good, that would probably still be competitive.
Can you get Basen Blacks? Brillipower Greens?

That charge would cover the cost of sending around 10 batteries - not sure who needs 10 26650s haha . I'm looking into royalmail24 and royalmail48 this service would let me send them for around 1.50 but you need to spend around 15k per year with them, which I dont at the moment - hoping if I pester them enough though theyll say yes to make me stop calling :)

Basen is the one I'm after, and mnke.

Basens would be good, Mnke are a bit long. This is one problem with 26650s, length variations (and sometimes width) which can make a huge difference depending on mod.
The Basen 4500 is very good but watch out for new v old versions, the Basen 3500 is supposedly actually more than 4000 so is a close contender, tests I did on same set up with both of these support that 3500 rating as conservative.

A quick question to the knowledgeable. I got a Cuboid & on recommendation purchased 2 x 25r & 2 x LG HE4s. These are rated at 20a but I have had no issues (not mega low ohm/high watt user). I have an RX2/3 on the way & recommended discharge Amp is 25a. Would I be ok getting more of the above batteries or do I get 25a rated.

Thanks

Hi @Ben fogstar - I build around .3 - .5ohm (single & dual) normally in SS314. Have claptons in a Limitless RTDA at .4ohm (still trying to find a good build for it that doesn't melt the teeth). Probably average around .5ohm.

+1 on the 26650's here as well because just got a wismec Presa. Will you be going to the expo at NEC and will you be taking any there with you because that might be an option for people looking for reasonably price batteries from a reputable vendor.

I'd say you need a little more power than the 30q unfortunately - you'll be drawing alot of amps at 0.3 - probably best to go with the 25r in dual and vtc4 in single.

Hey @red5 - I'll be going on the friday to have a look around, but just being nosey for next year really. The stand prices are pretty steep for a decent one (think thousands) although there's some stalls for £200 - they are probably in the car park haha

Cheers @Ben fogstar for the info. As I'll be dual coiling the majority of my atties I'll get the 25r. Alas it'll be next month now but good to know I can safely use the 25r in the RX2/3 (2 battery config until I get new batteries).
Thanks again for your advice.
