It's probably been covered before, but as anyone got any recommendations for scales. It's time I used a set instead of messing about with syringes etc.
I was thinking a set to 1000g and just 0.1g? I realise the cheap pocket scales are to unreliable but don't want to spend over £50ish. Any ideas folks? Thanks in advance

Thanks Mick, is 500g big enough, I often make 500ml batches, I suppose I could use 2 beakers to weigh VG but would like something that would take the reagent bottle and it's contents

Hmm, you might struggle with 500ml batches. Very roughly speaking 1ml = 1gram
I usually mix 200ml at a time in plastic bottles or beakers and pour into glass bottles.
Have a look on their site to see if you can get a larger model but you need it to read to 2 decimal places and you need a Tare button.

Nope, look down the page. Resolution - 0.01g
You really need 2 decimal places

I didn't bother buying a calibration weight. They seem pretty damn good from the factory. It's up to you if you want to splash the cash on one. I can borrow a weight from work every now and then.
