Currently not as I lost the o ring and can't find one that fits but no protruding on it
If there is its less than a mm

Cheers mate. As far as PTFE goes, I think you are on to a winner. Me and a friend decided to build an industrial microwave (a mad idea we had) on a conveyor belt system. (Many years ago) It consisted of three magnetrons. The food was passed in one end on a conveyor belt and came out of the other end cooked. Every belt material we tried melted, until a professor at Manchester university had a PTFE belt made for us. It worked a treat. We built one machine and sacked the project.
