Looks like I've some catching up to do ! tryed .6 yesterday all i got was burnt juice, need to work on wicking i think

That's the lowest I've ever gone. Have to be careful not to draw for more than 5 seconds though as I'm into pulse amps not continuous. Haha. But, cotton, loose cotton, has to be loose, next time I redo it I'll take a.photo and post it.

I was nothing like that low, about .2 i think (vamo to measure) using silica, cotton next time, maybe with a stove top coil if I can get the hang of building it

Stove top is a PITA and not worth the effort imo, not for cloud chasing anyway, it is good for flavour though

I heard about these "stove tops" and went & endured the RipTripper video on building it,decided that looked a PITA that I could do without.Then sat with the brain in idle & suddenly thought...why not take 2 washers and a bolt that is a close fit to their centre holes,wind the coil round the bolt using the washers to hold the wraps steady until you have the required size stove top & then a little tweak here n there will get you your stove tops perfect every time.

Now all I need do is find my washer spares tin & spare bolts to have a go at it,but as I've just started digging the garden up to lay a driveway,this idea has gone on hold for a week or 2.

Top idea Chegs tbh I don't think that is worth the effort for the way the coil performs.

ok just coiled a duel stove top, couldent find any washers and too late to go through tool box, but used a clout nail. came out at .2 and look a lot neater than my last efforts. Little dissapointed so far not worth a video anyway. I had better results with a single stove top in a 16mm ft dripper. I'll keep playing with it see how it gets on.

They do seem to tun a little bit wonky then once the coil has gunked up a bit they seem to be a bit better, it's just putting up with it that long lol

Just been recoiling my RDA's,got 0.5 mm round wire in my Dreadnaut & Origen clone,and 1 mm x 0.1 mm ribbon in the Double Cross.They all are about 0.3 ohms & the only one not too warm is the DX. The reason the Dreadnaut & Origen are warm appears to be the Juicy Peach juice,the Blackjack tastes just fine.Later,I'll be trying the Blackjack in the Dreadnaut and see if it was the Juicy Peach.
