my sig 100 volts jump from 3.7 right up into the 7+ randomly with 2 of my atties. i've been told it needs a new 510 connector? the connector seems fine ive had no trouble with it at all.
its not constantly jumping just every so often. but when it does the dry hits are shocking.
before i noticed what was going on i couldnt really vape anything over 10 - 12 watts as i was getting constant dry hits unless i was dripping at high wattage 60 - 100 watts. but then i guess thats because i wouldnt notice?
so am i overlooking something ? does anyone know which 510 i would need to buy to replace the existing one? . i would like to replace it with the spring loaded version if possible.
i think the one i have stealth vape have sold out. i looked on mo maker but just dont know which one/size i need.
thankyou for any help / advice offered.

also an electrician i spoke to says he would imagine it is more likely to be a battery problem rather than the mod??

Which atties is it happening with? Rebuildables? If it is with just 1 or 2 atties it could be down to a dodgy connection at the coil. Might be worth recoiling and making sure the coil is screwed down tight.

tobywonkanobi beat me to it!

The trouble is probably the atties, check the screws are tight on the coils, and you don't have anything like a lose centre pin.

Not on a regulated device like the Sigelei

that was my first thought and have re coiled and re coiled but still the same.
it is my lemo. and a kanger subtank. the subtank was great for about 8-9 days then last sunday bam it started dry hitting like mad. thought it was the coil changed it same again. changed it then realised what was happening with the volts.
my lemo 2 is more consistant but does have a wobble every now and again.

my thoughts exactly.
i never noticed the volts jumping untill last sunday. my eyesight is terrible (must get new glasses lol) so never check the screen. so this has been my trouble all along. i could never vape my kayfun above 12 watts max without dry hits. the taifuns i could go upto about 16 watts and that was with 1.7 ohm coils.

I had this problem with my Goliath tank. I've taken out the old coils and I'm hoping when I get round to coiling it again that the problem will be gone.

I think it is unlikely to be a problem with the battery. If it turns out to not be a problem with the atties then you're prob right to be looking at the 510 on the sigelei.

Is it the original 100w sigelei or the updated plus version. I believe the newer (plus) version has a spring loaded 510.

It may (or may not!) be worth contacting sigelei and explaining that you were not aware that there were older and newer versions with different 510 connecters and seeing if they can help.

Failing that if you ask Huggett nicely he might be able to put you into a guy who is very reasonable (and in high demand) that does a lot of upgrading hanna DNA mods, as well as other repairs etc.

If you go down this route the Fat Daddy Vapes 510 connectors seem to be commonly regarded as the best around. Varitube also do good 510s and the newest version stealthvape one looks like it's pretty decent too.

It might be something you want to do yourself but I would check YouTube and Google to see if others have it done it with the same mod and whether it's straight forward or not.

thankyou tobywonkanobi
it is the original sig 100 with screw pin.
seems funny since writing this post i have put my forst ever pair of batteries in some old 5amp panasonics ( i know dodgy. sold to me by a vendor for a mech believe it or not) and it hasnt jumped once. my usual pair that i use with htis mod are 25rs. got it at 13.5 watts and its stayed on 4.0 volts constantly.
i have checked youtube and watched a vid earlier. seems very straight forward.
i did have a fella that if i posted it to him he would change 510 and post it back for £20. very good i thought. so about £25 all in. then i thought is it worth spending £25 just to use 2 atties?. so i bought a smok80. should be here early next week. now im thinking is it my mod or atties ?

It's certainly a funny one. I have just remembered that I had this 'ohm-jumping-syndrome' with my kayfun lite plus when I first received it. I had carefully coiled it, all tightened down properly ok, but the ohm's was jumping. Fortunately a quick tighten of the 510 screw and all was well. Served me right for not checking it first! Good as gold since.

Seems a shame to have to get a new mod to solve the problem but if you're anything like me then it's good to have an excuse to buy a new shiny!

Sounds like I was very wrong anyway! Batteries huh, who'd of thunk it?!!

I have the sig 100 plus and it only works on my subtank and Atlantis my Smok Arctic and vision Mk 2 doesn't fire it is highly annoying

yes any excuse for new gear lol. its only a smok m80 plus was bought so i can send my sig away.read all the problems with the temp control but for £38.50 delivered decided to give it a go.
im not convinced its the batteries. although having a toot now the old girl is still sticking to 4.0 volts. im going to see how they go through the morning.
i have the lemo 2 on now but this is the atty that is the least problem of the three trouble causers.
i will stick my lemo on before i go to visit my mother and see how that reacts. i may even recoil them this afternoon big bigger ohms and see if that makes any differance.
thankyou for all your advice and help. will update later thankyou
