Hi all, I got one of the sigelei's for a penny, it arrived today. I took a battery out of the vamo, put the aerotank on it and............. Nothing. Actually that's not strictly true, the battery terminal at the bottom of the tube got really hot, is this liable to be the battery? Am i using wrong type, or does it just not work?
any help will be greatly appreciated
thanks
Marcus

Hi clint
its advertised as a #1, the box it came in says telescope on it. I'm using a Sony 31 battery
cheers

I probably got one of the first ones from there and have had absolutely no problems with it at all....Sounds like a short somewhere.....Check both the spring in bottom cap, and that there's nothing blocking/stopping the side firing push button.

My 1p mod also used to get hot,so I did several things to it.

1)get some copper braid(like the outer braid from coax cable)and insert it inside the brass spring on the bottom cap.

2)take a spring terminal from a battery holder & wind it under the top of the fire button so that it connects to the outer tube of the mod

3)clean up all contact surfaces with a piece of emery paper

Result is,no hot bits resulting in burnt fingertips when firing a sub-ohm RDA and less voltage drop means my battery now lasts several hours longer than it used to.

I'll try a post a picture showing the modifications I did on mine, later.

Found a pic I'd taken a little while back
