SS mesh wick

Chris what size wire are you using and what type? Also what battery or mod? I've had troubles with hot spots between the wick and positive post. Have found if I can slide the wick out and fire the coil by itself and then feed the wick back in and with a little adjustment seems to work OK.

jimsie33 I'm using kanthal A-1 wire 0.2 & 400 mesh which was supplied with the atomizer. I'm using my vamo to test the omh's. I'm only pulse testing at 3V

hotspots at the top are common lower the last coil a little, bump it grind it lol.

Very strange! Never had it burn through on the top at 3v. Had it glowing pretty bright. I usually have my vamo on wattage mode and fire at about 6w to start off with. Got to say it is trial and error but once you've sussed it it works awesome
