Started using TC mode and not getting much flavour

I get a crackle using the claptons in power mode.
I prefer TC as I don't get the crackle, which I find annoying, plus I can take a longer draw without getting a burnt taste, as power mode keeps heating the coil whereas TC mode reaches the set temperature and then stays stable at that level.

I'd like to get TC to be as good flavour-wise as power mode, but I'll go back to power mode and claptons if i can't get to that point.

Maybe the liquid is just cheap rubbish. There's still too many variables to say with certainly what the issue is. Got a picture of the deck?

This is a pic of the deck. The coil is nicely spaced and it is wicking well but there seems to be a hot spot that has burnt the cotton

Your coiling and wicking is horrible...

I've just rewicked this.

Could you expand on the problems with the coil and wicking? I'd like to know what needs improving if possible. Thank you

Your coils are too spaced and you need more cotton.

The wicking did look a little like yours when I first wicked it but that was how it looked four days later. I'll try again though.
As for the coil, I did try one with 10 wraps but it was just as bad as the one that I posted in the picture. I made sure the wraps didn't touch each other on the spaced coil.
What coil material, number of wraps and ID do you use?
Hopefully I'll can improve my technique

2.5mm ID, dunno how many wraps, prolly 8-9. You using a coilmaster?

Yes, I use a Coilmaster. Am I correct that the wraps shouldn't touch each other?
With the cotton, I use an amount that didn't move the wraps when I moved it back and forth inside the coil. Should I pack it more than that?
