I know this question has probably be asked a thousand times but a friend i got off the smokes and into vaping and who might be joining POTV asked me to ask this specific question. How do you actually steep liquid. I told him the way i did it and he seemed shocked. I always crack the bottle open then allow it steep time. He has been buying liquid and putting it in his cupboard to steep without breaking the seal. I told him that was wrong but he insists that he was told by the shop to do this. I said if you buy a bottle of liquid and it's sealed it stays the same clarity (Clear) but if you crack the seal you see changes to the liquid colour due too it's reaction to air. I might be wrong but it's the way i have always done it. How do you guys Steep.

Never opened once mixed up. To be honest I dont think it would make a difference

I know you don't need to do anything with Home Made Liquids i am talking about ones bought from Vendors.

With 10ml I just shake, open and vape it, with shortfills I just add the nic gave a good shake, leave it for a day and vape. With concentrates I give it all a good shake then leave it for a few days after mixing before vaping. Might be wrong but my understanding is it is nicotine that changes colour after being exposed to air.

back in the day i used to add nic then shake then leave lid off for a day to breath.
tbh there is no difference ive noticed since shortfills came out. i litterly top up with nic and shake. then depending on space they either sit in a dark box or on the shelf next to me in full daylight and leave to steep shaking once or twice a day. fruits are good to go after a couple of days and custards the longer left the better but there is a noticable change in colour within 2-3 weeks.

C'mon @MarylinC37 ;), this must be worthy of further discussion?? :2thumbsup:

Crack them open, add nic, shake blah blah. I steep in a dark place, just because that big drawer has all my DIY juices steeping and kept in there (250ml - 1 litre bottles), otherwise I'd have even more vape shit all over the place.

Breathing can make a difference, for me, more so with baccy blends, some people even pump their bottles with the cap off - it can make a difference but really I've got better things do. My baccy blends often need at least 2 months steeping, custards anything from 2 weeks to 2 months or more. I know Drip Drop custard was proper rank and sickly without a long steep, 2 months transformed it into something quite good, including seemingly reducing the horrific sweetness.

I add nic, shake until it is full of tiny bubbles and stick it in a kitchen cupboard for a few days. Any time I go into the kitchen I'll give it another quick shake - after 2 days I'll either vape it or leave it to blend itself. I never crack bottles - tried it but found it made no difference.

The only stuff I won't vape within a couple of days is any custards/creams - those I'll shake on and off for a few days but leave for at least a month (preferably 3 months) before vaping it.

I only vape fruits and occasional custard or cookies and cream though - most desert types and tobaccos I haven't a clue.

ive always just added nic shaked it too death then bung it in cupboard then get it out when i need it
