Stir Crazy

There is a huge difference in staying in and doing nothing through choice compared to the current situation.

People are losing their mojo, there's only so many times you can walk room to room, watch TV, eat etc before the craving to get out and do something, look at things, buy something you've been saving for.

As I've openly said, I don't do much but I still used to enjoy browsing round charity shops, nipping to the supermarket, going BHF or IKEA etc to look around and plan ideas. Going for coffee and people watching, taking advantage of the weather and going to the beach

I can't sit in an online queue for hours just to find out how much a tin of paint or a grout pen costs, there's only so many times I can look at IKEA online as how something looks in real life could be different to a photo.

Not sure about anyone else, and I am really grateful, but working at home feels like there is no separation. The work / life balance I've craved for years has instantly vanished, there is no door to close at the end of a working day, any annoyances from work are then still with me and brew all night or over days.

Started off at Wickes around 09:30 but they weren't actually letting people in just serving from the door so sacked that off.
Went Wilco next found a few bits including yard brush heads but no handles.
Place was baron and cleaned out of a lot of stuff.
Won't be sweeping the back yard any time soon.

Get yourself one of these for the yard.

Working from home i could do but with one caveat.
As you mention the lines get blurred so as daft as it sounds you need to dress for work and get changed when you've finished.
Create that clear line between the two or as you say you'll not know where work starts or finishes and home time will never really arive.

I'm not wearing my work gear and sitting at home with a cat who is currently dumping her winter coat in favour of her summer coat!

I do have a routine for work / end of work, but my sofa is my office, there is no clear division, same with a lot of my colleagues aside from the managers who have a dedicated office at home.

Exactly this - I change the minute I get home usually, otherwise everything gets furry. Especially as I like dark colours and have cats of many colours, only one is a black cat! :D

When you say furry i imagine this

I think i need to up my meds

It's a daily ritual to brush my 2 pups. They aren't so keen but I find it very soothing. I do it every day and get enough to fill a cushion every time but the house and me still look like that lady in the photo. Where does it all come from?
