I have been having odd issues with a bloated feeling and pains in my stomach for a while now and I am trying to eliminate anything I am doing before re-visiting the doctors.

Has anyone had or know of any issues caused by vaping that has caused stomach issues? I have heard of people being pg intolerant I use 70vg or 80vg though.

At a guess I'd say it's highly unlikely simply because vapour goes into your lungs not your stomach!

Sure there's a possibility drugs in your bloodstream could affect your stomach, but again I think it's highly unlikely.

Sounds like IBS to me, which can suddenly appear in an individual. Or you could have developed an intolerance to gluten or wheat. Those symptoms do fit what you describe- but best to go to the doc for a diagnosis. I doubt it is due to vaping.

PS I have all of the above so recognise the symptoms.

My doc put me on omeperazole after I had the mother of all hangovers due to going to a beer festival but the stomach pains I had from it havent gone away. When I get the pains its like someone is tying my stomach in knots. I am trying to eliminate things to see if it goes away. I am partial to extremely hot curry and coke so I am knocking them on the heard to see if it works, I am also gonna cut out bread and see if that works too.

Oh poor you Bruce, I empathise. You might have a little wound in your stomach lining from hot curries that has given you gastritis. I get that sometimes as well- I found slippery elm a great healer! I would ditch the coke as caffeine is a known causer of stomach pains- if I drink normal coffee I am doubled up in agony. I now only have decaff. I would recommend cutting out caffeine.

i had suspected celiac disease as a kid and was troubled with stomach issues right up until i fixed it with diet over the last 4 to 5 years, my advice for any symptoms like this, go to the doc let them check its nothing serious and if they tell you its IBS (which they love telling people) and try to medicate you, i would take a radical look at the diet.

it was the single best thing i did for my general health. Cut out processed carbs, no more pastas or white bread, copious amounts of veg, white meat and fish, wholegrains and fibre rich foods. Limit your caffeine intake and increase your water intake.

when you are in total control of your diet you will notice certain foods trigger the onset of the troubles. For me if i even eat the smallest bowl of pasta because i love it and cant say no when offered the trade off is an evening of a stomach 3 times the size it usually is, im a slim guy and it looks like i have an alien in my stomach when it happens.

like i say be sure it is nothing serious first and then really focus on the stuff going into your body mate. If you drink beer that has to go aswell, it is a trigger for me so had to switch to other drinks.

hopefully you get sorted though mate, having been through it all it is hard to explain to people how much stomach problems can make daily life an absolute nightmare

I'm the same as you Sp3ckyh0td0g81. Have to avoid wheat products. I'm good with oats- so have those Scottish oat crackers and sometimes Polish rye bread. I'm a vegetarian so I have pulses for protein.I especially like green lentils- find them very satisfying and digestible. I also have feta cheese rather than cows' milk cheese.

Thanks

I am wondering now because about 3 years ago I had to stop eating pork at sunday lucnch as it kept me up all night in pain although bacon chops etc never bother me at all. I will cut down on stuff and see if it goes away or is less painful.

I manage the IBS with diet and avoid eating a meal after 6 pm- having an empty stomach of an evening reduces the amount of painful IBS cramps and nausea ( which flares up in the night).

Thanks

Fatty foods, especially animal fats can make IBS flare up.
