What's new

Talk me out of it! (post what you want to buy but know you shouldn't)

I almost did something very daft today and almost pre-ordered a white juno Imperium De-60 with my Christmas money, until Mum came in and put a stop to it.

Lucky she did it in a way, I'm so impulsive at the moment, I just can't be trusted with anything, let alone money... I'm really, i'm really not in my right frame of mind. I fear I may be taking a little enforced break from the forum soon, if things carry on the way they are.

That said, part of me is really gutted though. I really wanted one of them, even though I really can't afford it.

This can be the worst place to be if you have an itchy trigger finger. Do what you need to do mate to get through this rough patch.

I almost did a simular thing today mate, but I blame the steam crave FB page I'm on, the meson aio is now ready to purchase, I had it the cart & the wife said why rush wait until UK supplier's have them so after been told I removed it from cart & you need to do what you got do mate, I've lost count how many items I've bought after seen on here & got one myself then turned out it was crap [emoji6].

I think breaking the shinyitis cycle can be like trying to stop smoking.

My currently aim is only to buy juice/building supplies/batteries as required and nothing else I'm quickly running out of shelf space, don't have anything I want to get rid of and don't want to fall into the trap of boxing up/storing and having loads of forgotten stuff crammed into the loft.

The first week was the hardest, after that it became a bit easier - I'm now starting week 6 and I've found the current mail strike and delayed delivery times have been helpful as not knowing if something will arrive in two days or several weeks is a bit of a deterrent.

Maybe not looking at the 'what did you order'/what did postie bring you today' threads for a few weeks will help?

I don't need one, but find myself really wanting a black and red Requiem RTA...
