I've been busy for the last couple of weeks on a new design. The Ice Warrior, which is a variation of the Snow Queen but has the adition of a Kick adapter built in underneath the atomiser and the Goblet which has the same adition. The Kick adapter was made of aluminium tubeing with a Varitube 510 conecter screwed into the top via a piece of acetal that had been threaded inside and out and another piece of acetal screwed and glued on the bottom with a small AAA spring inside (see diagram)
The spring worked out quite well as it meant that the kick module made good electrical contact and the Varitube was still able to use the spring loaded pin.
The Ice Warrior took the longest to build due to painting it white - 12 thin coats of paint over three days with rubbing down in between each coat.
The Goblet had five coats of varnish over a period of two days. Both devices are made of sapele hard wood which I think is an absolute sin to paint of varnish but I thought I would experiment and I must admit I was very pleased with the outcome. The copper pipe and the aluminum tube on the Ice Warrior have both been powder coated white whereas the Goblet has a chromed pipe with the aluminium tube powder coated with a high gloss chrome powder.
For testing purposes I connected my kanger aero mega (filled with 36mg french pipe tobacco) adjusted the kick adapter to 8 watts and gave it a try. When I could speak and see again, I remarked on how good the subtle flavouring was combined with plume of vapour that was produced.
I've already started work on two new pipes, a black one and a varnished one the same as the Ice Warrior.
