Received the Uwell Valyrian pod system and a pack of the 1 ohm coils today.
Very simple device with 1 power setting and adjustable airflow. Would also like to note that the writing on side is ugly. However this little fella and the 1 ohm coils are little gems. I can see why it was getting raving reviews. Can get a tight draw and the power is perfect. Flavour is better than I expected even though I already rate Uwell up there with Best for coils.
I highly recommend this little fella.

OK guys need your advice. One of our family is smoking 40 a day and I'm trying to find a way to help get her off it and I've been mulling over the best thing to try. It has to be as simple as possible because she can't handle anything that involves too much messing around and she just won't use it.

Having thought long and hard I'm thinking the suggestion from @DeeDee of the Xros pod is probably easiest for her. Then it's a matter of what kind of juice.

Am I right in thinking I need to stick to 50/50 for the Xros?

On 40 a day I'm thinking maybe if I start her off using the 1.2Ω pod with 18mg freebase or 20 mg salts and something like Nasty Juice silver tobacco. Then if she likes it I can see if she would be interested to try other flavours.

What do you guys think?

Myself & a few others suffered from spitback / condensation with the Xros. Although I think a few had no issues as well.

Maybe the Geekvape Wenax as it's meant to have a tight draw?

Or the Vaporesso Osmall? It's cheap at £10, in case she doesn't like it, but the 350mah battery might not last her through the day.

I think you have an excellent plan indeed! I've had no problems at all with my Xros, it's simple, adjustable airflow to suit and flavour is great.

Thanks @ForestMagpie. With these kind of things it isn't only the device on its own but also what nic level and what flavour to make it seem good enough to her to persuade her. She smokes medium strength cigarrettes, 40 a day, so I'm in two minds whether I should start out trying 18/20mg nic or 10/12mg.

I'm thinking freebase nic may be best to start out with and a tobacco flavour as salts don't work for everyone.

I'd start with freebase as well, nic salts have their place but salts def have a certain taste which doesn't suit everyone and some can have problems with salts making them cough. The strength is a tricky one as she's used to the action of smoking a lot but not a really strong cig so I'd probably say start at 12mg then you can always bump it up if needed. That way she can vape as much as needed at 12mg as 18mg can be a bit harsh.

Perfect! Thank you @ForestMagpie. Sounds like a plan. :)

I've no idea what brand she smokes so I'll have to take a guess as to a decent tobacco flavour but I'm buying the device from Vaping101 and they have Dinner Lady tobacco range as well so I'll choose one of those and then hope it works. :)

I can't comment on the Dinner Lady tobacco range really, I really like the Cafe Tobacco one but it's the only one from their tobaccos I've tried. Straight up tobacco is a tricky beast and the only straight ones I vape are NETs. Dinner Lady normally do decent liquids though so def worth a punt. Hope it all works out for her.
