@LordOdin AHA!!!!! We know a song about that don't we Dovpo :)
IF you're more capable than I, a FULL Strip down would reveal the majority of the possible answers. Many of us have been informed that the Chip is actually covered to stop liquid ingress. However, if the chip is sealed and then fails....... and it can happen...... Then things become more tricky.

I'll quote a section of an exchange I have recently had with Dovpo and that may serve as a starting point.

"An example being condensation. To keep that under control is SO easy. Every time a refill is needed, we always remove the Tank first and mop up any tell tale residue on the bottom of the tank AND MOST IMPORTANTLY…. In and around the 510 Connection. It does pay to blow through the afc when doing this so that anything lurking there gets removed. Then install the empty tank again and fill. I know that many will regard this as a Faff, but thus far, all our Abyss have never missed a beat. Once a week I remove the 2 Torx screws from the 510, remove the disc, mop up and clean, then gently lift the entire 510 and clean up what lies below with Q Tips and compressed air. Overkill perhaps, but not when one reads some of the posts on various facebook groups!
On a Monthly basis, I strip the unit down as far as I am able, All of the above mentioned, followed by the Base Plate, this reveals the Up and Down Switches and the Screen, carefully mop up any residue with Q Tips, the use Iso Alcohol on Q Tip to deep clean around screen and switches.
There have been two occasions where I have discovered Liquid/Condensation in the Battery compartment, to thoroughly sort that out, remove the 2 deep set Torx screws next to the screen, this allows one to lift the whole assembly “slightly” and allows the Positive Terminal to be deep cleaned on its undersides. "

Because of my fumbling hands, I daren't go further, but am sure that a complete disassembly is perfectly possible provided you're good with a soldering iron.

I’ve made no secret that I’ve yet to jump into the abyss, however I now have a couple of faulty ones sent under warranty replacement. So my aim time permitting is do jump into the abyss and have a good look. Hopefully I’ll find the faults and hopefully they can be fixed with little skill or effort. Then I’ll aim to produce some sort of instructions. If it’s more involved then I’ll offer advice on request.

Failing that I may stay in the Abyss for some time and watch the football

These are your Friends :)

I too have a very good set of Screwdrivers, thing is you shouldn't have to do all these things to keep your Abyss up and running. I will leave it a few days and give it a bit of time to dry out. I have plenty of mods to keep me going.

As a vaper I appreciate that you want to perceiver and sort it you’re self. I would too in all honesty. Especially if I thought it might be down to something like the tank etc.

However as Dovpo if you feel it’s a fault with the device itself then I’m an email away

Thank Andy i appreciate the support but i do think it's down to Juice or Condensation getting into the workings. It might sound like i am moaning about it, well i am moaning about it but am sure it will correct it's self in due course.

Think how many revisions an aio like the billet box has undergone and how many bridges have had to be avoided over many years.
Teething troubles are expected. Everyone Vapes differently and has a different expectation plus so !many folks don't even think of upkeep and will splash juice with abandon.
You will all find the best way to operate it and maintain it after a while.
does look a tidy kit though it would be wasted on me as I'd put it straight into sbs mode and their it would stay.

Feel free to moan all day long . Just felt with my D/po hat on I’d offer the support if needed ( public relations and all that jazz)

To be 100% honest.... Unusually for Dovpo and maybe Suicide Mods..... I think that the unholy rush with which this was bought to the market is part of the somewhat annoying teething problems?
I can understand why both companies felt the need to get them out there, but it would appear that a bit longer in the Testing Stages...... Maybe releasing a few as Beta Test Units first, would have been a more satisfactory approach?
Marketing is one thing, but hyping a product in the way that one sees so often these days doesn't necessarily pay dividends.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the concept and the flexibility that is offered, but..... Dovpo realised early on that the Customer Service side of things needed bulking up and have done so in quick order, so hats off to them for circumventing many of the issues some of us have had.
