I am looking to buy a good rda for flavour, I've done some looking around and the three rda's I see popping up are ... (Not part of the clone vs authentic war, there are clones which are better than the originals, so I dont mind getting clones) Marquis, Veritas or Vertex V2 - Please help me make my mind up :banghead:

Start with? I don't intend on getting all three ;) What makes the veritas better than the other two?

Thanks for the help!

The Marquis is basically a Veritas plus. A few on here will praise it and advise you to get one. i'm going by, relative, ease of use striaght off the shelf.

I'll assume you've watched and read all the reviews or each so it will come down to personal preference and budget. Lke most other things in life.
I'm looking at the Vertex and the only down I can see to it is the teensy wee holes in the -ve posts, not a deal breaker really, but..... The Airflow does looking interesting tho'.

I recently reacquired a Veritas in trade, the first one I had was a crappy shitebag off of fasttech and it was so bad I cursed it to Hades and back. However, now that what I have is decent, it isn't as bad as I thought and the deeper juice well is a plus in the car.

Search thro' the threads on here for each, and there are a few, you should get a longer term view of each.
Sorry I'm no really helping at all, just chuntering crap whilst I wait for my lunch too cool and coffee to brew.

Haven't tried the vertex but am a little surprised it gets such good reviews as it *looks* just like any number of 3 post drippers.

I have clones of both the Veritas and Marquis.

Veritas is great, if a little fiddly to build on before you get used to it owing to that positive pin with the nuts. I've only ever done single coils in it as duals looked even more fiddly, and it's fantastic. The best dripper I've tried for not leaking, flavour is great and airflow is nice and simple. The clone I have was from fasttech and has been absolutely fine (I don't mind the brass positive pin), o-ring tolerances are great etc.

Marquis clone I have is also from Fasttech and mine had a couple of issues. The rods for mounting coils didn't all fit in the holes but I sanded them down and now they do. The washer screw is a pain to fully tighten and the positive post always unscrews itself when I'm trying to unscrew the washer screw (just makes it harder to take coils out). It was also SUPER oily when I received it and needed two thorough scrubbings to get that off. I haven't used it as much as the veritas but the flavour is great also. The rods make placing coils and tightening down easier but adjusting coils, squeezing them and wicking them is more fiddly than the veritas.

EDIT: It is also good for not leaking but not as good as the veritas in my book.

Not sure which I'd pick based on flavour, they both are excellent. If I want a single coil I use the veritas, if I want a dual I use the marquis. You can run the marquis in single and the veritas in dual but I don't see the point in either.

After watching lots of videos and both of your replies im still leaning towards the marquis, it looks like a veritas v2. As I do have a budget so would be the clone. Nobody i've spoke to has said anything good about fasttech so won't be getting it from them. My budget may be enough for both marquis and veritas clones, but where's the best place to get them?

Thank for the help I really appreciate it :D:D

Fast tech is fast tech, Ment has a wee blog on what is good to get from there and plenty people order from them with no or few issues with the received kit.
Yes the delivery times can be amusing, but if you're getting a decent thingummy for a very reasonable price, you can't really complain.

To add to your cunfuddlement regards good dripper for flavour, looksee at the Derringer. Great wee bit of kit and quite a bang for your buck - Blackhack should have some left in stock - Teensy and tasty dripper.

Thank you all for your help, I am going to get Marquis, it ticks all the boxes for me, visually anyway, hopefully it performs as well as it looks :p
