Tracking Details

Might think differently if you were female? I do think it's important to be able to trust the establishments you go to, and that they will properly safeguard any info you are required to give them.
I'll never know for sure but I wouldn't think so. My position would be the same regardless of gender. They want to be able to contact you if they suspect you may have been in contact with covid. All they need is a name and contact number. If you don't feel safe giving an address only give your first name and mobile number. That's sufficient for someone to be able to make contact with you should the need arise.

No worries.
Not sure you got the point of my post.
It was about all the Micky Mouse names people would be leaving as contact details.
Yeah, that went over my head. My post basically said if those celebs are reality TV "personalities" I'll give you £20 for each one you dunk a pint on. Then I thought that might not be such a good idea as a few pints later it might be too tempting. :D

there was a case reported the other day of a woman being called on the phone by a pub employee after leaving her contact details.

This is one of the reasons i oppose giving contact details.
The guy could be a psycho in his spare time.

Called by the employee for what reason? If it's for an inappropriate reason it should be reported to the landlord and even the police if it"s harassment. Or she could just tell them to fuck off and hang up. Either way, one, or even a few such cases doesn't negate the very valid reason for contact tracing when people are sharing an enclosed space in a pandemic with a killer virus that's super contagious. If leaving a contact number is that much of a worry then maybe the solution is to stay out of the pubs?

I believe it was to ask her out.

Then it should've been reported to the landlord to deal with. I doubt they would take kindly to their staff behaving in that way. I doubt he'll call again if he's told to fuck off and a complaint is made to his boss.
