Hello everyone , im using the innokin zenith 0.8 coil at 14w in the zlide tank, if i used the 1.6 coil at 14w would it use the same amount of juice, be the same throat hit and flavour when using exactly the same juice. Looking at the 2 coils, the holes on the side are the same size but the hole on the top on the 0.8 is slightly bigger. I would of thought the 0.8 would use loads more juice and give more throat hit, but at the same wattage would this be the case? I hope its not a stupid question just trying to find the right set up. Any help would be much appreciated.

The .8 ohm coil uses 3.46 volts
The 1.6 ohm coil uses 4.73 volts

Edit: at 14 watts

Volts= square root of watts times resistance

You would likely burn the 1.6ohm at 14w. The airflow will be more constricted as well. The coils should have a wattage range on them as a guide to what power to use. Juice consumption, as a rule, increases the lower the resistance due to more power required & increased airflow.

So does that mean the 1.6 ohm coil would actually use more juice if it uses a higher voltage ?

If u want to use the same wattage...u dont, u want to drop it closer to 10
(Maybe less actually, but ive seen that that coil works best around 10 watts

As I said you'll likely burn out the wick making the coil unusable. Lower resistance coils require more power & use more juice.

So if the 0.8 was at 16w and the 1.6 was at 12w whould there be a lot of difference in juice consumption

^^the opposite of that would be a higher ohm coil would use less juice, produce less vapor, but give ul onger battery life

Whats your objective, more vapor, less juice, or more battery

If bh your goal is to use less juice, pop the 1.6 in, start at around 6 or 7 watts, and increase till u get a good hit, probly no more than 10 or 11 watts tops

Edit: btw, when u first said juice i thought u meant battery power more vapor=more ejuice
Less vapor =less ejuice

It depends on your objective what u want to do, theres no way to make more vapor by using less ejuice (except raising the vg level)

Probably not enough for you to notice, there's only 4w between them. You'd see the difference vaping at 12w compared to 25-30w but the coils would be different resistances
