Trying to understand coils

^^the opposite of that would be a higher ohm coil would use less juice, produce less vapor, but give ul onger battery life

Whats your objective, more vapor, less juice, or more battery
I just dont want to be using lots of juice, didnt know if there would be a big difference from the 0.8 to the 1.6

I wouldnt know, i dont vape at those levels, i would take nwhornets word on that, and like he says not enough to notice

The 1.6 would be more frugal than the 0.8 but there's probably only a ml or 2 in it over a tankfull on either coil. It will also depend on which coil was vaped more. You might need less pulls on the 0.8 as nic delivery should be higher compared to the 1.6. There's lots of variables to take into account. Length of draw, number of puffs, power, airflow, juice ratios & nic strength. If juice consumption is the over riding objective use the 1.6

imho - ergh nope - not really that much

Question: How much friggin' juice are using atm ????

MTL - probably say 30ml or 3 bottles a week maybe ???
If you dropped to a 0.8 coil I doubt if you would do much more that 40ml

Now depending on how much you vape, if you are getting your nic fix etc...
If your nic is a bit too low then you will be vaping more to get your fix so to speak

Not sure if you quit smoking 20/40 a day but I presuming you are on say 16mg ???
your consumption will "likely" increase if you drop to say 12mg too soon (or 9mg)
as you will be chain vaping a bit more

Also a lower coil on higher amps will "likely" use a bit more juice too

("likely" is used as is not completely set in stone but not uncommon)

For instance I started on ce4 pen/Blu-Pro doing say 2 bottles a week 16/18mg
About 25ml on 11/12mg after say 6 months

Then about 30ml on I think 1.2 Zenith coils @ 9mg

Now it is about 40ml just over on 1.05 Ohm diy coils rta on my diy juice (costs pennies)

Now if you are dropping to say 0.50 ohm DTL chain vaping then yes you can really go through juice
But if MTL-ing then doubt if you will hit much more than 40ml on lower coils
(unless you are using a way to low nic juice for you atm)

should be about 30ml or just under on 1.6 I reckon atm

different coils/wattage can bring out slight differences in taste of the juice/different juices
go with something you like that produces the flavour or hit that you prefer

Other factors are if you have one hole open or more
if your juice has weak flavour and/or low nic level
so you open her up and make larger draws & your consumption goes up

I'd guess you have one hole open and moderate draws etc...

They do a few Zenith coils, I found the 1.2 about right on my zeniths
but others rate some of the other options, luckily you got plenty of choice
(some rated the plex coils others hated them, taste is subjective as they say)
It really depends on YOU & your juice etc...

if all is good, then stick with what you have, if you want to experiment then try a 1.2 @ 11w~12w
or 1.6 @ about 10w & bump it up if needed

your coil will need changing say after a fortnight - or sooner if sugary sweet juices
you can at push dry burn & rinse them, dry burn & rinse etc... dry them out
to squeeze a bit more life out of them if you are completely out of spare coils

some MTL use a 1.4+ (diy or other coil in different tanks) coil
but think many MTL's seem to be just above 1.0 Ohm as a yardstick
though some just under - there is no real rule book, nor do you have to follow the crowd
just use what seems to work best for you atm - the juice usage difference will be marginal
just enjoy your vape and less worry - still way cheaper than fags

Thanks all makes sense

Not sure how much juice i will use as still on the bloody fags and vaping some of the time
Want to quit the fags completely, not bothered about how much juice i use because of the cost, just didnt want to be getting lots more nicotine from the lower ohm coil than the higher ohm coil as i would be using more juice.
But makes sense what you say i could use 2ml a day on 12mg or 4ml a day on 6mg and still get the same amount of nicotine

Stick to the higher nic, higher resistance coil If it's helping to get of the fags.
