The Big UK Vaping Survey Results Have Arrived!

- Just 2% of vapers would have given up smoking without e-cigarettes -

- 97% of vapers are ex-smokers -

- 44% tried to quit with NRTs in the past -

More on that
here.

i cant see them banning something that is growing so quickly when they can tax it.

Exactly this! Cigarettes are way more harmful and they have never been banned for the tax revenue reason. It's in the interests for the government to get people switched over to e-cigs, reducing the financial burden on the NHS from smoking related diseases and then pick up the lost revenue by taxing e-cigs. Or does that just sound like a load of bollocks?

Have a look at what's happening in the Netherlands. 2016 is a huge year for legislation in Europe for vaping and tbh, nobidy knows what will happen yet.

but lots of things are legal in the netherlands that are not legal here, what make you think we will follow them?

Netherlands is in the EU right? Doesn't take much to get to the point where the rest of the union has a look and tags along.

The stuff that's legal in the Netherlands has no bearing on this whatsoever.

im not being funny and i wernt trying to be in my last post either so sorry if it came across that way.

is not what you have just typed a bit contradicting though? your saying the eu will follow the dutch lead but then saying stuff thats legal their but not here has nothing to do with anything?

i will make this point here and you can probably pick it up from my typing and lack of ;.,' im not the sharpest tool in the box so i could just be being a bit thick lol

Hwy ned, not a problem at all mate. :) Yeah, it probably does come across as a bit contradictory, but really the most important players in all of this are:

Big tobacco
Pharma
Government

They don't really have any bearing on this though as BT and pharma couldn't really give a hoot about either weed, or prostitution if that's what you were referring to?

big tobacco have been buying up ecig brands, now that could just be them backing all runners in the race or it might be them knowing that an outright ban is unlikely to happen
like you said earlier nobody really knows

pharma now there is a fly in the ointment i guess

government imo will just regulate and tax it to fuck, although how much they will or even can really regulate it and how much it would effect us im not sure,
again my opinion,we will always be able to buy pieces of hardware (maybe not as easily as now but we always will)
pg vg and flavours i reckon will be as easy to get as they are now
nic? hmm im guessing this will be the tricky one

Big Tobacco and Pharma have been consistently pushing for the regulation of everything except sealed units e.g disposable cigalikes and medically approved equipment. With regulations that only a very large company could afford to comply with. Go and have another look at which vaping companies have been being bought up by big tobacco.
