UK Gov To Ban Disposables?

One person's shortcut was another's long road to panic. The community here spoke out against accepting disposable advertising but we were told without it the forum would collapse... What's the plan now? Ban more for speaking out?

Agreed.
The loudest voice in the room is always the one with the fattest wallet John, regardless of the scenario.

I'm seeing a lot less Ds' lying around, I'm also seeing an ever increasing amount of people using Ds', about 20 people in spoons smoking area Friday night, 15 of them must've been using a D. I like a twat was having my usual 5 - 7 marlboro's over the course of 4 hours of drinking and socialising (it's the only time I ever smoke). What chance mostly everyone else (esp. the youngsters) of not going back on the fags. I've been vaping since 2012, i can coil, wick, diy, with my eyes shut, yet here i am on smoking up to 7 fags on a night out. Wanker

Nobody has been banned simply for "speaking out". The issue of disposables has been a conversation on this forum for a long time with many members voicing their opinions both for and against.

The member who I'll assume you are referring to was banned because - despite several warnings - he continued to go at vendors in sections of the forum where all members had been clearly informed was not the place to vent their frustrations every chance they got in a hostile and non constructive way, as the hostility was leading to vendors, who sell far more than just disposable vapes, closing multiple accounts and leaving the forum, withdrawing the very funding that helps to provide this platform for all of us to use and express our opinions.

Not sure if you've looked at the Vendor/Manufacturer forums recently and seen just how many have been lost between TPD and Covid and how few are still here?

Management's decision to allow the advertising of TPD compliant and legal disposable vapes isn't the reason we are where we are.

Honestly, I’ve been sitting here trying to think of something profound and uplifting to say, but… :56:

You all have my sympathies, especially with Labour on the horizon. From a vaper whose already been buggered hard by cynical politicians and a passive population, my advice is, when they bend you over, remember to ask for the lube, and try to enjoy it :17:

Sorry :(

Needless to say POTV News will be covering this smorgasbord of bollocks all week with any breaking item. In the main it will probably be angry people saying it’s all a bad thing. Because it is a bad thing. And it’s all going to get worse.

And here ends my exceptionally brief stint back on the forum. I’ve been Mawsley, you’ve been an audience. Goodnight.
Good to see you pop in. I've missed your posts (and Royal E pics)

Personally, I don't care about a disposable ban if it pushes people onto reusasable vapes instead.

The disposable ban is just a poor bit of legislation that will fail in its objectives. It wont clear up the streets, it wont stop bin lorry fires, and it certainly won’t stop kids using nicotine products.

The flavour ban being piggy backed on it, alongside the plain packaging, there’s the real issue. When every product is bland and uninspiring, and then the price rises to approach that of a pack of fags, what are people going to do? What are kids going to do?

The evidence comes from every country where this has been done - and it resulted in increased smoking rates and the collapse of businesses & job losses.

First they came for disposables, and I did not speak out—
Because I was a hobbyist.

Then they came for flavorings, and I did not speak out—
Because I only use NETs.

Then they came for…

I apologize for using a very serious poem perhaps a bit too lightly, but you get the gist :22:

You beat me to it.

Like I said earlier I dont want a ban as it opens up the doors, and theve also added something about flavours so in the future flavours will be on the chopping block, then it will be E liquid. They already know what they want so create a problem that they do a solution for, the solution is want they wanted in the first place. Problem>reaction>solution it's as old as divide and conquer, precedence has be set now never a good thing.
