Does anyone have any experience with them in regards to coated tanks? I'm thinking about getting one but I'm a little bit apprehensive it'll strip my coloured tanks back to bare metal.

I've done a bit of Googling and found people using them for paint stripping but as tanks aren't strictly painted I don't know how relevant that is. Vaping gear should be hardier due to the heat I presume, or not?

Thanks all.

I would be a bit wary, I don't tend to buy coated tanks but I have had logos and detailing come off in an ultrasonic. Especially on clones.

I have a few 'gold' tanks and all those have been OK, including the clones.

Thanks @Crewella, most of my tanks are stainless so should be okay but it's the @Innokin ones I'm a bit wary of. I've got two Ares 2's - one silver, one black - and would hate to see them ruined.

If it helps, I did put an original silver Ares through with no issues. :)

I'm just a nervous Nellie when it comes to these things, perhaps I'll just start off with a drip-tip and see how it goes, or just stick to a toothbrush!

I got that from your post. I'm a bit the same! ;)

I do love my ultrasonic though, and use it for jewellery too. My gut feeling is that Innokin do good quality gear, and it will be fine though.

My Zeus X lost it's paintwork in a Ultrasonic Cleaner but have had quite a few other Tanks through it with no problem.

I have a sonic cleaner but hardly use it I just pop vape stuff in a jug with drop of Milton then use a tooth brush.

Ha - it was you and your red Zeus X I was trying to remember. I knew it had happened to someone recently.
