I've got one that I think is pretty shit too, Keep meaning to test it with some tinfoil to see if it really is that shit.

My Coilmaster one works really well, been known to even strip paint as mentioned earlier. Got to say it really does clean my Tanks well, but i use a fluid i got off eBay which is probably coloured water.

I did the tinfoil test on my cheap Aldi one, it did work.

Put a sheet of tinfoil in the water and turn it on, if the cleaner is a goodun it'll make holes appear.
