Vendors...how 'clean' is your prep area?

This is exactly why we had our Big Laminar Flow "Process bench" built .. that did us for ages and you are correct, gloves and a lab coat are fine in that scenario - unfortunately when we went for the bottling gear, we realised that as big as that flow cab is .. it wasnt big enough - so had to go the full cleanroom route, which does require full gowning. its a pain actually .. BUT does make you re-think your whole process .. you need to make absolutely sure that everything you need is cleaned and ready to go from the gowning area to the cleanroom - if you leave something outside and no one else is around outside to shout at .. its getting ungowned to go back out again - its a faff to start with .. but you soon get into the swing of making sure everything is to hand .. process lists are the answer :)
Yeah its the only downfall really, the one i have is alot bigger than it looks on that photo, its 1500mm long and 700mm wide so theres plenty of space for everything i need at the moment. If only it was a little taller! Its just become habit to sit on my arse and mix/bottle now so its not too bad really [emoji4]

You probably know this already but thought id mention incase you didnt know... when i was looking around for prices and asking lots of questions last year i asked about the whole scenario of getting all the gear off to nip out, apparently you can get a purpose built hatch installed to pass things in or out of the cleanroom, like a double door mini hatch, may be ideal for you! Dunno the cost mind, thought it sounded pretty handy tho.

I think the next step for us after the TPD shit is out the way will be a modular room, like yours i guess but much smaller. I think around 2m x 3m would be plenty big enough for what we need.

We nearly had the hatch ...

thing is .. anything that needs to go in needs cleaning down before it goes in .. to the ideal place for doing that is the gowning room (which is in effect a big passthrough hatch really) - we decided to move away from the hatch .. as both options still need someone outside who to pass into the gowning room / passthrough area.

the ideal thing is to make sure you have someone "fielding" outside.

Yeah make sense when you think about it like that, just a different place to pass it though!

Anyways, dibs on the clean bench if you dont need it now [emoji38]

@Dripworx and @ZT both looking good guys i always thought manabush was made by native americans on private reserves and the juice was blessed by spirits but its actually made by men in wee white coats.

Thanks mate, i think it will be much better when we have the glass partitions installed but until then its clean and thats all that matters to me.
Nice one dude!!

Don't know about you but being in the lab always make me feel like I'm up to no good haha

Gypsy tears mate, the other room is full of them,
Zt just has various vids of capitalism on loop clockwork orange stylee and collects the tears in beautifully ornate wood aquaducts
