Vendors...how 'clean' is your prep area?

Well, heres a couple pics of our updated version. Its still very much work in progress with the addition of glass partition walls going up over the next couple of weeks along with a few other bits and bobs.

Anyways, this is the area we produce in now. There is also a small air scrubber in the bottom right of the room, that needs to go on the wall really.

Really nice setup dude, well done :D

Just revisited this thread and have to say I'm mightily impressed by what I've seen.
Earlier in the thread I did question the absence of one particular producer that a lot of people were raving about, but it's history now because they've gone under.

I'd like to see some of the facilities that ingredients suppliers have, especially the DIY segment and in particular nicotine.
I must admit that I'm wondering how other vendors are getting on now....this thread has been going for a while....

I know that @PlumeBlu put some pics up on Facebook of his new premises, and they look pretty awesome to....

So....please feel free to tag a few vendors [emoji4]

We're in the process of building a new clean room... will post updates when done :D

Looking good @Dripworx - how you getting on with that Flow Cabinet ?
Its a great bit of kit but its very loud, i have to put my bob marley CD up to volume 40 to drown the sound out. Other than that its great, really need to sit down and work or put the stand on some type on platform to higher it up a little.

Im 6ft 3 so it may just be me lol.

When i got the flow cabinet, i had about 5k to sink into it. Was either the flow cabinet or a softwall cleanroom, the reason why i went for the cabinet was because theres no need to full on "gown up" which i can imagine is a pain in the arse if you need to whip out and get another concentrate or something.

The cabinet allows you to be a bit more flexible, gloves and a lab coat is fine [emoji2]

This is exactly why we had our Big Laminar Flow "Process bench" built .. that did us for ages and you are correct, gloves and a lab coat are fine in that scenario - unfortunately when we went for the bottling gear, we realised that as big as that flow cab is .. it wasnt big enough - so had to go the full cleanroom route, which does require full gowning. its a pain actually .. BUT does make you re-think your whole process .. you need to make absolutely sure that everything you need is cleaned and ready to go from the gowning area to the cleanroom - if you leave something outside and no one else is around outside to shout at .. its getting ungowned to go back out again - its a faff to start with .. but you soon get into the swing of making sure everything is to hand .. process lists are the answer :)
