Vendors...how 'clean' is your prep area?

Its not only the germs its other bits that could get in there as well. I have a phobia of hair and shit in my food lol
I don't buy skank food from skank places and would prefer not to buy juice knocked up in some ones garage.

Check out them storage bins at the end OMG, some good stuff in them. Could use one of those 5 ltr jerry cans full of Pow wow.

Great wee vid!

Although I don't have an ISO clean room certification I can assure you that my juice is mixed in a dedicated environment that is kept clean and dust free. I aspire to have a set up like Manabush and Plumeblu but just do not have the resources to throw at it.
I get the OP point here and would expect at least food hygiene standards as a basis for juice mixing facilities.

Whilst I was on holiday, I was taking a vape and caught sight of an insect floating in the tank of amber coloured juice. It looked like Hammond's amber cane from Jurassic Park !
So that was 5 mil of juice that went down the sink :17:
I still have no idea how it got in there :hmm:

Interesting thread and video (bit slow though).
As a one time H&S inspector I would take issue with not covering all facial hair and not taping off ear-rings (better to remove and tape the holes they leave) and also those window blinds which will be dust magnets despite the ioniser/air cleaner. Overall though an impressive little clean room and production line.
Excellent point about leaving bottle open "to steep", I always thought that was risky.

Would be great to hear from vendors ... plenty of them on this forum (both well thought of and derided).

I've had some contaminated Capella concentrate before, it had three black specs floating around in the 30ml bottle.
I thought about writing to the supplier but never did, I just stopped buying from them.

Everyone knows I mix mine in a bath tub with my bare feet, that's why it tastes so good :)

Of course not, I have OCD for Christ sake! As above were not quite a £50k cleanroom, but for a small batch hand made producer we take things seriously in the Dripworx HQ, you won't find a speck of dust in our room, it's a dedicated room for Dripworx only, tiled floors, stainless work stations, stainless racking. Everything gets cleaned in 70% IPA alcohol, the floors get steam cleaned daily. The walls are painted in a washable paint and we have a small HEPA air filter running 24/7 in the room.

Believe me I take things seriously, hygiene is our number one priority.

Below is a photo of our mixing / bottling area. :)
