Just please don't do what I did. A "dry burn" does not mean "freshly re-wicked, press the power button". It means "freshly wick, then put a few drops of eliquid on the wick itself THEN press the power button".
Burnt a bloody wick due to my noobness. Tell you though, R-Tank is SOOOO much easier than the Vivi Nova.
Rewicking is a bit worrying at first. Just make sure you have a multimeter and check everything (including check your off-set on the multimeter). No such thing as checking too many times if you ask me.
Also, if you're finding it difficult to coil, get yourself a machine screw (0.5mm less than your wick (e.g. 2mm wick, 1.5mm machine screw)), as they have really small threads you can coil around, and just slip your wick in there (there really is no way to say that without sounding dirty is there?).
Sounds like a super idea, in the perfectly platonic sense of the subject, as I did a SS mesh wick for my RTA lastnight, and it took me hours to get the damned Kanthal in place, without hot spots. Tastes filthy too, forgot to burn it with juice, maybe? I'll try screwing later on
