The rather lengthy review can be found in full here
I’ve previously reviewed the 5mm silica and 5mm Ekowool available from Rob at Stealthvape so it should come as no surprise that I’m also going to review more of his stuff. There’s no surprise because he is the only person I buy my rebuildable supplies from and the reason for that is very simple – service and quality.
My experience has been that Rob provides outstanding, excellent service to all of his customers – you don’t need to take my word for that, just look at all of the customer reviews on the site and see if you can find one carrying less than five stars.
Rob is a vaper and takes great pride in not just providing fantastic service but also goes to great pains to stock only the very best in quality that he can find. Not just that, he is constantly looking to push boundaries by hunting out new things for us all to try out.
Through the Planet Of The Vapes forum he will do frequent, impromptu give-aways and also provides samples of his new kit for forum members to try and pass on so that everyone can get an opportunity to feed back their experiences and comments. These actions speak volumes about the integrity and commitment of the man to providing the best levels of service and products for vapers.
I realise this is coming across as a bit gushing, I don’t care – Rob is one of the great unsung heroes of our community; a hobbyist, an innovator and a professional.
Voodoo wool comes with a 4mm diameter in lengths of 1 metre and costs £2.99. Due to the 96% silica content the wick is resistant to fraying when cut and being worked into an atomiser. It should be noted that the 4mm measurement is the inside measurement and this is one sizeable piece of shoelace.
My experience of using it with drippers and in a 3.1 Kayfun has shown this to be true and when quad coiling the new W3 I found it brilliant to work with.
Rob has had these screws designed and made just for Stealthvape, and I have to say they are brilliant. I’ve had a set of M3-sized screws (retailing at £2.99 for three) and currently use a set of M2-sized screws (retailing at £2.39) in my Chimbus.
They are made from stainless steel and with a knurled top section, so that you can adjust them by hand, but also feature a 1.5mm Allen key slot which is the aspect I tend to use in order to ensure a tight connection between wire and post.
What’s that they say about sometimes the greatest ideas are the simplest ones?
When I used to use VV/VW devices I can’t remember a single time when the atty would sit flush on the top of the mod. Rob saw an opportunity to correct this and has these made up specially for his company.
The OCD washer retails at £2.45 and have been CNC’d with an air channel and polished to a mirror finish. The underside of the washer still has a matt finish but for those with an OCD affliction it won’t take long to polish it up.
