Hi guys and gals, do you find your health and fitness is better now you vape, ie do your lungs feel better now you don't smoke as much or not at all.

I actually saw the logo while searching #vaping on twitter, but then I found the site while googling "vape wiki" =)

I find my lungs feel better, don't get breathless during activity such as climbing hills.
Also my sense of smell & taste have returned, I noticed an unusual smell recently while walking my dogs, turns out it was pine trees, I'd walked past them thousands of times & never smelt them before!!

Cool. Did you quit fags straight away or did you slowly stop smoking and increase the Vaping. I'm finding the morning and after meal cigs the hardest. Also just wondering how long did it take for you to bin the cigs and how long did it take for your fitness to come back.
Thanks for the info.

Hi all thought I best say hi after a few days lurking. Been a vaper for a couple months now and have not touched a smoke since. Just waiting for my first mod to arrive in the post. Great forum glad I found it

Hi glad to hear you've quit. I'm new to Vaping, been a few days. I'm just curious as to whether you gave up cigs as soon as you started Vaping or did it take a week or so.
Thanks

Cool. Did you quit fags straight away or did you slowly stop smoking and increase the Vaping.

It was a gradual process for me.
Originally vaping when smoking wasn't an option, this went on for around 6-8 months.

After upgrading to a vv/vw device I started to vape more & smoke less until I eventually bought my last pouch of baccy which I never even got halfway through as within a month I'd made the switch to vaping fulltime.
A week or two later I felt better, fitter & not as breathless under exertion, it felt great after 20yrs+ of smoking!

I now vape a mechanical mod with an rda or rba, I rolled my own cigarettes & I now find the process of dripping my liquid replaces the ritual of rolling a cigarette.

The act of smoking isn't the only habit you have to break, it's all the other things associated with smoking, a friend of mine decided to quit smoking one day, he's never smoked since yet years after he quitting he would still find himself reaching for his baccy tin after a meal!!
Good luck!

Thanks. Your right about the rituals associated with smoking. I find I need to do something with my hands. It seems all the head stuff is the hardest thing to overcome. The hardest thing for me is that first rollup in the morning and after a meal. I'm using a evod, not evod kanger because I got it from eBay, I obviously didn't do enough research, but it works fine, I'm just trying to find my favourite juice to vape which seems to be cherry so far, but I have 5 flavours to try, so should keep me busy for a little while. How do you know what vaper mod to move onto or do you just research and choose one you fancy.
Thanks again for the info.

I discovered the board through a google search... "Vaping forum"! I looked at a few of the Facebook groups but they just couldn't cut it in looking for the in depth advice I was looking for - particularly as I want to find where to learn about moving onto mech mods (which I'm still very confused about).

So far I like this board :)
