What's new

Well mech maintenance does work, got the Kindred V2 firing like new again!

Well I tried coating the mod in tomato sauce, and left it, cleaned it up earlier and it removed a LOT of stuff from the mod, but unfortunately didn't make it shine like Brasso.

It cleaned the threads well though, and the Broadside is firing like new, it just doesn't look new and shiny.

I am happy with the performance of the mod though, it is firing easily and nice and hard.

I will have to get the brasso out later and try and get it to a kind of mirror finish if I can, as it will match the Lost art Goon which is a gold colour that matches brass really well, so hope I can bring it back to a nice finish and can use it in my rotation of mods.

Brasso can leave behind a waxy substance in the threads, not great for conductivity. But my tins of brasso are really old I'm surprised the tin hasn't erroded in the shed lol

I have noticed this substance when I have been cleaning my mech threads, so once I have cleaned them I get a damp, stiff toothbrush and go round all the threads trying to remove this stuff.
The toothbrush also gives the threads an extra clean, and once the substance is gone the mods seem to hit hard as they should.

My fav metal polish is Maas.
I will check out Maas, as I only currently have the Brasso wadding polish that you tear off, it would be nice to have a tube that I can add to a rag for extra cleaning of my mods.
