What do I need to buy

I was looking for stuff last week, so found a few cheap bits - batteries
https://www.fogstar.co.uk/collections/batteries/products/samsung-25r-br-2500mah-20a
get these on a friday as they do discount, and also use POTV15 for another discount.
If you want a cheap coil master kit they are £10 cheaper on ebay than amazon or anywhere else. (depends on how you feel about ebay i guess)
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GENUINE-...700076?hash=item3b07d8822c:g:NkEAAOSwGBdaswK6

coil tamer bands are invaluable! as i found out the minute i opened a coil of kanthal and promptly flew everywhere! they are like an sweatband thing that you put around your spool of wire and have a hole you poke the end through so you can pull out as much as you need without it going BOING all over the room!

I will revisit this post when I'm back in London. They do a sale every Friday?

I was saying this for safety reasons. Battery safety is too important to risk, the last thing you want is fake or dodgy ones.
I agree, that said, buying from China's major sites like Taobao and JD is not like buying from random Chinese sellers on ebay. Find the seller that has sold 600+ of that item this month is a pretty good indications. You can also buy from official Samsung and LG resellers. The best part is that each item for each seller recieves reviews. Ebay reviews are completely useless.

There have been companies even in the uk selling fake chargers and batteries that didn’t come to light straight away, though. Better to be safe than sorry with batteries etc, for me.

Fogstar. The Friday discount is usually 15%, same as the potv discount and you can't use both. I tried lol. When you compare the prices to 18650.co.uk, who do free shipping and have a potv 10% off code, it often works out cheaper there.

Coilmaster kit. Bummer :(

Coil tamer bands. I need one!! Kanthal A1 is alive!! Where do I get them lol :D

I recently won a very generous give away from @tony68 which I will recieve when I return from China. Two things have occured to me, I don't exactly know what everything is I've one is, or what other bits and bobs I will need to pick up to use them. Staying in China has the advantage of access to the market, a friend is coming up to visit from Shenzhen. This is balanced by the dissadvantage of no Google or Youtube. Even the PotV site takes half a minute for a post or page load.

I'm moving from a Smok Stick v8 Baby, so I have a lot to learn.

Wotofo Serpent bf - says it is a match for sqonk
WOTOFO The Troll RTA Atomizer - 5ml tank
OBS Engine RTA - is engine just the name or does this mean something?
OBS Engine Nano - updated version
Eleaf I Just S with 2 tanks and 8 coils - a starter kit smilar to my Smok (not sure how they compare)
Eleaf iStick TC 100w - my first mod, I can put some tanks on top and fire them up
Vaporesso MTL Drizzle vaping kit with 2 coils - a nice looking MTL stick (I've been wanting to try one)
A few coil tamer bands - I have no idea what these are
Bit of 316 ss twisted wire for picture hanging - some wire for making coils for RDA
a few muji cotton pads for your makeup - cotton for RDA

This took me about 20 minutes to get all the linkes. I'm really pleased with the look of the Wotofo tanks and i think 100w should be more than enough for me to learn with. I'm thinking about getting a sqonk box while I'm in China so the bf is perfect.

Can all of these tanks go on top of the 100w mod?
What do I should I buy in China and what should I buy in the UK (Cotton, batteries, battry charger and wire).
Did I miss anything else I should buy in China for this? I don't want to buy more than necissary but want to take advantage of prices in China if they are cheaper.

I vape maybe 90 minutes a day, one session during an afternoon walk and the second when I watch 1-2 shows after midnight.

@tony68 said that I will need 2x 18650 batteries for the mod.
Panasonic (65mm, 67mm, 69mm), nicfire and UltraFire which is by far the most popular.
Chinese seem to love the UltraFire batteries. Which batteries should I get and which size, I couldn't find a length on the Eleaf product page. How long do batteries last for. Will 2 batteries last me a year?

I felt that I was missing something here, it seems 25r is something important, but actually recommendations depent on vaping style, which I don't know yet. 25r puts LG in the lead of search results with something called HE2 and HE4 for around 2-3 quid in red and yellow.

Battery charger - something that will charge a pair, does it matter much what I buy?

Cotton - I know that this is used in RTA tanks so I will need some. @tony68 has suggested muji cotton. I've seen something about cotton baccon prime and fuzz cotton. Is it worth trying to get some in China of should i order in the UK? How much should I order?

Wire - @tony68 "Kanthal A1 24 gauge wire is the best for beginners". Again how much and China or UK.

I will of course be watching lots of youtube videos and researching on Google before melting my hand off. I know about shortfills, steaping and priming coils. I've tried looking up wire and cotton on Taobao but most only have a hand full of sales, suggesting that vaping really hasn't caught on and the most people are buying from local shops. What UK sites are good for cotton, wire and batteries, or is everyone buying from China and the US?

I know that the post is a bit of a ramble but I've tried to organise it as best as I can, and to do some research and add links.

If your mods have a 510 slot (I haven't seen any that aren't) then any tank with a 510 connecting pin will fit - the troll, OBS engine and the nano all certainly do. Great tanks BTW. I have all three although I have't tried the troll yet.

Batteries:

I would research into batteries and battery safety (if you haven't already) and if I could give you any advice, definitely don't skimp on them - get them from a genuine seller and look after them and always keep them in their protective cases. Don't forget to take them out of your mods when you're going to bed. If you look after them and keep them paired, you should get about 300 charge / discharge cycles from them. Since they are cheap, I'll usually bin them after a year anyway (but that's just me). Get yourself a few spares batteries btw. I think I have about 20 batteries now and I really only charge once a week.

I only purchase from fogstar and wait until Fridays when they run their sale - they have a selection of chargers listed there too. Considering they take batteries very seriously, you could assume they treat the chargers the same. I personally have a nitecore D4 (4 cell charger) and an i8 (8 cell charger). An i8 might be overkill for you.

Cotton:

Cotton bacon v2, native wicks or kendo gold edition. I tend to stick with cotton bacon - as for how much you use, well that depends on what tank your using (single or dual coil), if your dripping / testing juice etc and your general vaping habits. 90 minutes vaping a day, you'd stretch a packet of cotton bacon quite far. No harm stocking up on a few packs. People say cotton is cotton and they are probably right - I just stick with what I know. One day I'll buy a huge bulk pack from China like some folk do :)

Wire:

You've a few choices depending on what you want to do - you can buy wire and make your own coils or just buy pre made coils - the later obviously being less hassle but more expensive. You could start with some basic kanthal wire until you get familiar with coil building and move onto the more expensive wire types. I use:

https://www.wireandstuff.co.uk/products/Vaping-Wire.html

Amazon have large boxes of pre built coils (such as demon killer etc) that will allow you to experiment for little money. I still use them when I'm dripping to test juices.

If you want to dive straight into sampling some of the best coils then get in touch with @Smut. His coils are fantastic and will last me a month (I do vape a lot) with the odd dry burn. I also use runnynose coils which are of similar quality. My local vape shop stock them so it's easy picking some up in town when I'm driving through.

Remember to check the vendors section for reliable sources in the UK to get all your gear from

Trying to think what else you need... A dripper is great when you're at home and trying out a few different juices. You could get yourself an authentic wasp nano for around £15 or a Hadaly or a Narda clone from fasttech.

The coil master kit is handy but you could simply get the individual items separately if you want to save some money. The two most useful items in the kit are the ohm reader (although it's pretty basic) and the coil jig / wand.

Sorry for my ramble back but I hope this helped :)
