A vaping sepository?
Where can I get this? [emoji23]
I've got my eye on a bunch of stuff right now. But in all seriousness my next big buy will be another mod for myself. It's been a while since I bought the SnowWolf-200 so I fancy something else to add to the collection. Ideally fairly powerful (not that I've ever used 200watts in my life), at least 2 18650 batteries as I fear I'd drain one in a heartbeat, heavy vaper. I don't mind how large/small it is, apparently size isn't everything, but I would prefer something larger with at least 2 batts. LOL.
I have a few on my shortlist, H-Priv, RX200s and the Smok Koopor Primus 300w I've so far read good things about, but haven't seen a massive amount of people with it yet so that's kind of an unsure one on the shortlist.
If anyone has seen any other half decent mods out there I'm all ears of course. I'm currently undecided and it's payday soon so I really need to decide. Sooner I order the sooner stuff arrives haha. Something to go with the black TFV8 I've just ordered.
A friend has the TFV8 and he says he couldn't even get it to fire on his 150w mod? So that has me a little perturbed. I don't know what the issue is there, as I've seen a lot of others fire it without issues, so I have no idea. Perhaps down to the coil he had in? If anyone can educate me further, I'd be very grateful.
With my RDAs I usually vape between 50-60watts. So I don't really need massive power, but neither does my OH and he's got a 600bhp Evo 6 Tommi Mack, so it's kinda the same thing I guess haha. Nice to have the option of power, but probably not really necessary when I'm only gonna tootle around at about 50w haha.
RX200s I would imagine would be awesome. I've got the v1 RX and it does a fine job.
Primus...I know it performs well but the battery door looks a little loose and it's not the best looker (although beauty is in the eye of the beholder I suppose?)
HPriv- Can't really fault it. Fire bar feels a little hollow but that's it. The chip is fantastic and performs really well. Istick 200 does well too, and the IPv6 looks good. Keep your eye on the classifieds here [emoji4]
If you're mate couldn't fire the tfv8 @ 150 there's a very good chance they either hit the voltage/amp limit for their mod. For instance the Cuboid has a 9v/25 amp limit. Too low resistance you'll max the amps, too high you'll max out the volts before reaching the mods max wattage. Unless it's a DNA you've only got a fairly small resistance window that you can apply to max out the mods wattage. (Some of the yihi chips may do it too?)
To get a decent mod and a set of batteries you don't need to spend more than £60 ish. Another few quid gets you two sets.
Get your batteries from @Huggett . Nice price and you've no fear of them not being kosher.[emoji4]
Thanks so much! Do I just message @Huggett to order or is there a website? I am pretty wary of batteries so usually only buy from folk I know personally or are recommended. Some say I'm a bit paranoid but I've seen the horror stories and don't wanna end up another one myself, so better safe than sorry.
Yeah the battery door on the Primus I've read is a bit loose, and it's really the look that's putting me off it, also the fire button is apparently a little loose. So I've been sort of iffy on that one. The reviews I have read of it seem to be good, they mention it's quite big but it does have 3x 18650s in so that's understandable. I suspect I'll end up sticking with one of my two original choices, the H-Priv and/or the RX.
Thanks so much for that advice about the TFV8. Really helped. Better for me to ask advice before than wait for it all to go wrong and think "wish I'd just asked for advice now." Lol. So thank you very much, I really appreciate you taking the time to educate me more. Thank you.
You're very welcome.
@Huggett is on here quite a lot,(possibly not at this hour!), but his website is :

I'm the same buying batteries and it's always better to buy from someone you trust. But you can trust this guy. Top, top vendor [emoji106]

Well, I've been looking to treat myself to a stabwood mod for ages and joined all the FB groups hoping to get on a list and pay an embarrassing lump of cash for something I might not like from far, far away. So after a lot of searching, begging and bothering, I finally persuaded a British mod maker Graham Pearson-Bish (https://www.facebook.com/cubishmods/) out of 'retirement' to build my ideal: Stabwood/Resin, dual 18650, SX350J with stainless L-frame and stainless battery tubes, buttons, Fat Daddy 510 and on-board charging. I bought two blanks, one from Russia and another from Herman Chicken (find him on eBay) and a few weeks later....here it is. As I had two blanks, I thought I'd push my luck and because he really liked the smaller Banksia/Resin blank...he also agreed to build me a baby brother single 18650, DNA75 version. The dual arrived yesterday and it's a beauty, the fit/finish is superb and the photos don't do it justice. The DNA75 is due in a week or so when he's finished polishing it (he has a day job too), cant wait for that! So from nothing to two, at the moment at least, unique, British hand made TC mods in a couple of months. That'll keep me from watching reviews on the latest shiny things for quite some time and I'll be selling off some of my existing box mods to keep it sane.

Yes it was Rob....took a bit of persuasion to get him back from his break from building, but so worth it. Check his FB CuBish page - there's a nice single DNA75 in the making which will be a bargain I reckon.Aha!!!! So it was yours that made me get back in touch with Graham after a couple of years then? Very smart looking device, as one expects from him. He has tried to tempt me with his own Mod, but I fear this is all way above my pay grade.
Congratulations on getting a very, very nice example.
