What's going on with the ELiquid Market?

I’m coming at it from a purely personal point of view, 20 ml a day at 5 quid a pop, that’s more than smoking

... but that doesn't mean e-liquid is expensive, it just means your vaping habit is expensive, really if your honest about it?

Remember the guy on here, bout a month ago, was going to start up his own shop, he was currently working in a vape shop....I think if I remember right.....he stated that his boss (owner) was making juice at 5p per 10mls....selling to a distro for 21p and retailing it at £3.99 in his shop, and was selling bout 300 bottles a week.....this is from memory and may not be exact...but he saw the £££ signs and was off to start up himself....if he was telling the truth, there's a bob or too in it...can't find the thread

But that’s not craft liquid is it? Made in the armpits of virgins and fermented for 15 years in Donald trumps sock

No it’s not my habit that’s expensive because doing my own costs me about 1.50 a day, so in comparison pre made at 5 quid a go is expensive

It was basically a witch hunt for poor old nick last night, the only reason I made a comment

To be fair to all involved, myself included, I think witch hunt is a bit harsh. @Nick0steam came along and posted his opinion but never backed it up or offered a response, particularly when others with a different opinion pulled up issues. He was the one getting sweary on every post.

You argued your point well and as you stated, we both have our position and are unlikely to be swayed.

I hate 99.999% of juice I try. I made my own for a while until I found a brand I liked. I now vape 4 flavours from that brand exclusively and don't even bother trying anything else. But I would never even buy a £1 bottle of juice. Like most things, you get what you pay for. I have no problem paying a premium price for my juice because it is a premium juice and a premium vendor. I know what I'm getting. It's top quality and I'm prepared to pay for that just like I'm prepared to pay for other top quality items. I like to buy nice wine not cheap wine, I like nice food not the budget range. Bottom line is there's juice out there to satisfy every vaper with regard to budget and taste. Don't like it, don't buy it. But it's pretty crazy, imho, to expect all manufacturers to sell their products at the same cheap prices just because cheaper, poorer quality juices are available on the market. Should I expect my wine merchant to sell me a bottle of premium, expensive wine just because they also stock a budget range and "it's all made the same way"? Of course not. It's all about choice. I buy premium juice and will never buy cheap budget juice. Others are the total opposite. We're all free to buy and vape whatever we like. We have that option because the availablity is there to satisfy every niche of the market.

Would be interested to know what liquids you have settled on. I am in a very similar boat although with a few more regulars in the rotation.

selling fully compliant 10ml bottles to distribution for 21p?

If that true then I'm shocked.

Everything is 'expensive' when you look at it like that though.

buying pre-cut chips is expensive, buying pre-made furniture is expensive.

To be honest I never read most of what was said! I just noticed the usual suspects ganging up on him, as is the norm, he was pushed to the point of losing his rag, in my opinion. But at the end of the day it doesn’t really matter does it? It’s only a bloody forum

I hear this argument and it makes no sense whatsoever, for starters pre cut chips aren’t expensive! Secondly comparing one expensive thing to another only proves that they’re both expensive!
