Where am i going wrong?!

the ohms is more for wattage.
to give an example these are aspire nautilus coils. the different ohm rating means they can be used at different wattage ranges. for a pen type that you cant change the wattage on the norm used to be 1.6 or 1.8ohm as they would use around the 10-12 watts range as far as i can remember.
  • 0.3 Ohm Nautilus Mesh: 23 - 28W
  • 0.4 Ohm Nautilus BVC: 23 - 28W
  • 0.7 Ohm Nautilus Mesh: 20 - 25W
  • 0.7 Ohm Nautilus 2s BVC: 18 - 23W
  • 1.0 Ohm Nautilus Mesh: 13 - 15W
  • 1.6 Ohm Nautilus BVC: 7 - 11W
  • 1.8 Ohm Nautilus BVC: 10 - 14W
AHA! now you've got me thinking,i've been wondering if the Ebay seller i asked for advice at the start of my BVC 'adventure' had actually filled me with BS?!,i explained to him that it was 2200mAh CE5 batteries i used & he recommended 2.1 ohm coils & that's what i've been buying ever since!,but that doesn't explain why the first one i ever used worked so well.....kin ell...the plot thickens...

thanks for the links. well thats a first seeing 2.1ohm coils.

next question has to be are you using exactly the same makes of juice. i know hangsen used to be higher 70PG but a quick google on home bargains only shows cloud 9 but no mention of its vg/pg ratio.
scrap that as google shows cloud 9 as 70pg as well.

if its not the juice then its as i previously said quality control of the products or as your buying from ebay could also be fakes or clones.

The 1.8 ohm and 2.1 ohm coils should be a very similar vape, possibly slightly more vapour with the 1.8 ohm.

This is the juice i use, cheap & cheerful, been using it for a good few years now,i like it,i'm not into vape that tastes like sweeties or puddings,no roll-up i ever smoked tasted like anything other than tobacco,as for the different types or ratings or whatever in these juices.....clueless!

so those are 50vg/50pg so should work fine but as i mentioned the hangsen was 30vg/70pg so quite a bit thinner.

if they keep you off the smokes then thats the main objective.
wish i could get on with the cheaper juices. dearest bottle i ever bought was from america but cost me ruddy £60 to get it here Never again).
average for me is £8-12 for 50ml now.

I think you're on the ball here!,i reckon i oughta buy myself a pack of 1.6 & 1.8's from the outlet you recommend & see how it goes with them,i'm hoping all the advice i'm getting from y'all is going to solve this goddamned nightmare,if it doesn't i either start smoking again or give up vaping altogether....this vape scene is something else eh...it's a science!

dont give up as we were all stuck like you once, and it was this great forum that kept us going.
ill have a hunt around tomoz to see if i can find one of the Fuse clearos and coil just so you can compare. im guessing they should fit onto your pen.

another incentive to not give up the vape is to buy shit tons of gear then all it would be doing is collecting dust if i went back on the cigs again. god knows how many hundreds of litres of juice ive bought in 8 years but im guessing i could float a boat (sorry, ship).
you can add at least 15 more kits to this old picture. window is not wide enough to lay them out now.
recognise any on the left :D

No body said vaping wouldn't be challenging especially if your building your own, luckily using stock coils is the easier option and usually sorted out quicker. The bad thing about stock coils is either poor QC or Fake and Dud Coils, i have been lucky with the Stock Coils i have used and not had many if any issues with them. Buying from Reputable sellers is the best way of avoiding issue's. I don't agree eBay and Amazon are a bad choice to buy from but saying that i have bought mainly from the same seller for the last 3 plus years. If you do find a good seller never change because you have noticed a cheaper one, they are usually cheaper for a reason. Always make sure your coils are well primed as already said in this thread and don't give up because your having the odd issue here and there, there is always a solution.....well usually.
