Why did you quit?

For me it was a number of reasons but it was more of a whim decision that I actually quit full stop. A guy at my town centre was selling them and see that we were smoking and asked me & hubby just to try one out. Fell in love with the flavour straight away and he did us a deal for two starter kits. We spoke about using them to cut down but when we started using them the following morning we both decided we was gonna quit fags altogether. I seriously needed to anyway as I'm on a lot of medication that is effected by smoking, I have an autoimmune disease. Anyway that was 3 weeks ago and will never go back to cigarettes. Congrats on being in remission and hope you stay that way. Good luck xxx

For me it is totally about trying to save my health however I can, no other reason. ( And I sincerely hope that vaping IS the healthier alternative to smoking, for as far as I know it has not been ACTUALLY PROVEN yet??? Or has it??)

I was out of breath all the time putting away about 50 fags a day constant chest infections including one a couple of years ago where I started coughing up blood - and the cost was killing me as well, my brother suggested ecigs to me so gave cigalikes a try and now onto mods and never going back so I see it as a conscious decision to partake of nicotine which I find healthier tastier and funner than burning stinkies.

Amigo, extricate yourself from the weed.... Vaping is a very real option to bangers. It's never easy but that whole can be filled!!! you'll be so busy building coils, buying shiny stuff you won't have time to worry about Bangers.....

I gave up because it stinks.... I loved fags... but I love my wife more.

She's asthmatic and since I've stopped her affliction is not nearly as bad. This sounds like BS (I used to think so) but I used to only smoke in the garage!! The smell (or whatever) used to set her off. Sounds like sh1t I know, but it's true for us.

She's now nagging me to give up vaping, she's got her "nag" and I've got my Vape..... we're both happy!!!!!

Weird one really....I dont know why I quit. I had no health issues, on duty free tobacco so the cost was not an issue. Going through a messy separation and I was smoking 60 roll ups a day, balancing a ashtray on my knee, playing Jenga as I was trying to stub one out, and the whole ashtray fell to the floor. I flipped and went mental, looking at my yellow stained hands, I decided there and then, I wasnt going to smoke anymore, and prove everyone wrong, that I could give it up.

A forum I was on, mentioned PoTV, I joined up, looked about, asked the usual newbie questions, and ordered a Vamo less than 24 hours later. The moment, the Vamo met my lips, I gave up tobacco. :)

On a total whim to be honest. I wasn't enjoying my job and was doing everything I could to avoid being in the office so I was working from home. ended up surfing YouTube and stumbled on a couple of ecig reviews. At this point I had no concept of different flavours being available so I was amazed at the reviewer going into detail on taste.

I drove down to a B&M shop that afternoon and bought a kit to try it. I had one cig that evening, half of one the next morning and threw the rest of the pack away.

I remember calling VV Gemma all excited and said we should start a business in it. She told me I was crazy. 3 Months later we launched Vanilla Vapes :)

I have tried many times to give up, messy divorce and a few bad relationships and i was smoking too much after that.
My mum died of cancer in June and it broke my heart, came back down to cornwall, and the missus at the time decided to bin me, afterwards i found out she had been cheating all the time i was at my mum's side, so i got the attitude of 'fuck the lot of you!'
Started vaping and haven't looked back, i don't want my kids to see me like my mum was!
Also this forum and everyone here has been amazing, i couldn't ask for a better bunch of internet buddies, it is also good when you can help others out, get a good feeling inside which just reinforces why vaping and vapers are the best!

Mostly on a whim, the cost of baccy had been bugging me for a while, I'd tried a disposable previously and not only did I smoke along side using it I also ran the thing out in less than 12 hours - that was quite an interesting day!

As I neared the end of another pouch I decided to try a disposable again without having baccy. I'd seen Tesco selling them so I thought that was a good option, when I got there I noticed they also had rechargable/reusable versions (Ten Motives), went for one of those. Haven't rolled a ciggy since! After 3 weeks I started to find it frustrating not being able to see how much was left in a cartridge and some of the cartridges were not lasting at all as long as others. I looked online and was overwhelemed and confused by everything that was presented to me, but as one last option before returning to smoking I decided to go visit a No Match shop that is close by - best decision I've made. Got myself a "proper" kit where I can see how much I've got left, and I've never looked back!

I tried the ten motives, plus skycigs and nicolites to begin with yuk!!!! The flavours on those things were worse than cat piss, still i am grateful for using/finding them as they made me realise that you do not have to depend 100% on the tobacco. There are other ways of getting nicotine which are enjoyable as well.
