I've just been in for a few Magners

Not to happy with Magners, that's a last resort cider for me.
Bit to sweet.
Ones in the pubs local to myself are Aspall's, Stowford Press, Thatchers Gold, and of course the good old Strongbow.

Getting a bit stricter up here. They're now making people do track and trace. You are then taken to your seat and need to either wait for table service or order on an app. It's was about 25-50% quiter than the average Saturday.

Where was it you went today, big chain gastro pub, small pub, or free house ?
All of my local pubs have been quite strict on the track & trace ever since the pubs opened again.
Table ordering, or on an app depends on which pub you go in round here.
The place I went to this evening was fairly quiet, but that was early, and it was getting busier by the time I left.
Didn't go out last night myself (Friday) but from what I have heard about several pubs round my way, they had the busiest night since they reopened.

Download the Real Ale Finder app, some of the ciders and perries are mind boggling - the strength of them, I I think you need to like still cider a bit though. One of them at my local right now, Seacider Hardcore - 7.4%, about 3.50 a pint. Often breweries local to your, umm, local. And before you say it, yeah, wtf is cider and perry doing on a real ale app :hmm: :D

Some of them are mate, especially the Perries, they are lovely.
But I can't stand some of the "still" Ciders, particularly the cloudy thick ones that look as though during the fermentation process they contained the fingernails, and foreskin of the original brewer in. :18:

It was a spoons I was in yesterday. Since the rules were changed to being statutory up here on Friday they have changed a lot. The regulars in there are not liking it. That's not my usual pub, my usual one is another chain (mitchel and buttler) and they have changed from friday too. Had I been there the only difference would have been that I could have got an Aspall's.

I cycled up to the pub I use (now and then), because they had a wonderful stout in. Tbh the staff were good, sign in, temp check blah blah, I sat outside, I always do. But the punters, some are brain dead, one chunt right in my face telling me someone would nick my bike unless I had a good lock on the thing, which it is. Yes, they did turn people away, the place was rammed inside, and out. Tbh, I should have fucked off, but I had 5 pints and wobbled home. I'm thinking dig the flagon out and do takeaway from now on, shame really, it's good to see some people and have a social distanced cat, I mean chat. But a few make it bad for everyone else and we will get locked down, cant see any alternative. I even gave myself a bollocking this morning.

one of the GM`s that works in the same chain of pubs that my missis works for is now showing 2 symptons of corona virus and they have all the precautions under the sun in place so it just goes to show you never know who you are letting in as some ppl dont even know they have the virus and others probably do but think fuck it im going out anyway

@Badboybez
I like a nice cider now and again myself Bez.
Recently been ordering a 20 ltr poly box of Cornish Orchards vintage organic 7.2 per cent direct from them. Free delivery usually 48 hours. Will keep opened for 3 months, never lasts that long mind

I've stopped going pretty much. Can only meet 1 mate at a time here just now, no atmosphere and mainly just full of the sad lifers that practically live there.
