So I have a list of every things I need to make my dual 18650 mosfet mod, but I cant seem to find any copper 510 conectors, were the atty screws onto im pretty sure I have to use 14mm cause the tin im using is altoids sized. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I'm pretty sure all the 510 connections I've seen are either SS or brass, don't think I've come across a copper one before!

Give Seedy a shout he runs modmaker and might be able to help you out.

I could imagine copper being a little soft for continued use as a 510 connection.

Like the poster above said copper is way too soft and so is silver. You could use a copper or silver positive pin.

The centre pins are bronze on ours so about 92% copper

The outer part is 316 stainless steel rather than 304 or 303. 316 is a lot more expensive for the raw materials and also more expensive to turn as it's harder

We're awaiting samples of a spring loaded centre pin that is made from pure copper that's been developed for us by one of the big players that normally make connectors and components for the likes of sony and panasonic but they're a way off.

Copper for the outer part might be a bit of a gamble as people tend to overtighten attys. That being said we've not had a single problem with customers stripping the threads on the copper clones we sell so we may well have a run produced when the 22mm connectors have arrived.

Just 15mm for now which I think is more up your street

I guess I was talkimg more the center pin copper. I guess I should have been more clear lol

If its any help, I swapped out the standard 510 pin with a ground down brass bolt and built a mech mod using it and there was hardly any voltage drop. The difference between using a copper pin and a brass pin is so small, i would say that brass is better due to it being stronger. We all seem to be chasing that missing 0.01v that we are forgetting other areas that voltage is lost.

Ya im not worried about the rest of the build just the 510 part
