A few questions

I guess the guy was just on a power trip. It just makes it difficult when one person says one thing and one person says the opposite. I solved it however and went on a stealth mission....lol.

I find an easy solution to some of this too... always email an establishment before hand, get confirmation and print it off... Some of us may carry a binder full of permission slips some days, but it helps to have it in writing :)

That's ok only if some of the plebs that cause this issues can actually read. I've found that most haven't yet learnt the alphabet, being stuck on the letter W as they are.

Flat out refuse to accept that as a solution. You do NOT smoke and should not be forced or guided to an area that would be harmful to your NON SMOKING existence!

Totally with KMS. HSE guidelines state that priority should be given to the needs and safety of non smokers which includes vapers. I stopped stinkies for good reason.

www.eccauk.org has some great information in their Info link in regards to vaping, studies, a letter for employers ect...

The law doesnt cover ecigs...at all. So legally you can vape anywhere you want, but as said above, its down to property manager/owners. Tesco was the most recent case in point where a shop in Wigan put up a rather nasty notice using the smoking law to enforce their no ecig policy, which was incorrect and a blatant lie. Vapers took to Facebook and Twitter and Tesco investigated the claim that this sign existed, found out that it did and ordered it removed. However, it doesn't mean they changed their policy, just are now aware that the wording they used was wrong on more than one level.

Some pubs (mostly non chains) will allow vaping if you ask. I vape in both of the bingo halls here and have in Frankie and Benny's. Lovely lil place out in Burtonwood ( @Gonloopy have you ever been?) called Fiddle in the Bag, scurbby place, but great food stuffed with memorabilia and they allow vaping.

However, the idea of Dont Vape where you cant smoke, is a nice one, but it is always best to ask, and ask until you find someone whos word is "rule". Some places will allow them without too much of a hassle, others will bend if you explain what it is. Also using NON cigalikes and referring to them as Personal Vapourisers helps in the instance someone gives you that "I dunno about that" kind of look.

not yet but will do now!!:D

I love it there :) The food is really good, great prices... but be warned it is off the wall dingy and crammed to the hilt full of stuff (mostly from wars and the US Air force base that was there) The tables are falling apart and the leather on the chairs is wore straight through, but its a great atmosphere!

Sounds great to me,
I much prefer a scurvy place to a posers palace anyhow, and believe me I've frequented some scurvy places :D

i find the same at my college some days i can stay under the cover, granted right in front of a no smoking sign, but others i get this little shit of a man i could easy break over my knee come out with a stick up his arse and tell me 'he doesn't care i have to 'smoke' that thing in the shelter with everyone else or he'll report me' needless to say i have not get moved as the 'shelter' is five bits of metal bolted together with no seats or anything, and it stinks of old fags and piss so not likely i ever will. Everyone else is supportive and very interested in what i'm doing. I did quote the law at him the other day and he just walked off so not sure what it will be next time.
