Hi folks.

Very new to Vaping and have started off with a Joytech Exceed D19, I will say first and foremost that it's working a treat for me, doing what I hoped it would.....almost!

Only issue I am having is leaking, it has to be kept upright or it just leaks out of the air control holes and the mouthpiece, this is becoming a bit of a problem, I am trying to be active and going for walks & cycles, but as ridiculous as this may sound, I am having to leave the vape at home because of the leaking problems I had the first few times I took it out.

Does anyone have a recommendation for an affordable ( £20-£30 ) Vape that does not leak at all, no matter if it's vertical or horizontal? This would be a major step in helping me, as when out for my walk or cycle, I am obviously struggling with cravings, big time. Thanks for reading and hopefully hear from some in the near future.

Uwell Caliburn. It's a pod system with great flavour, long lasting coils/pods and never had any leaking issues.

A pod system with Nic Salts sounds perfect for your walks and will ease any cravings.

My favourite pod at the moment is the Artery Pal II.

If you don't know what the deal is with pod style kits is, in a nutshell:
They are mainly MTL (Mouth To Lung) and lower powered so when using high strength Nicotine Salt flavoured juiced you are getting a micro hit compared to a sub ohm device, nic salts get into your system faster and feels similar to smoking with the airflow reduced.

Hi

A few things first. Have you been following the instructions on how to fill the tank properly and install the coil correctly? I know you’re a really new vaper.

Secondly have a look on YouTube for your device and watch a couple of vids on it to see what the reviewer does so you can check you’re doing everything correctly.

Now a constant leak sounds like an oring has gone somewhere and it isn’t creating a vacuum seal to keep the liquid in. Next step would be to check all the orings for damage and to make sure they are seated correctly. Your kit may have some spare rings with it you could change out of necessary.

The other thing could be one of the orings on the coil isn’t working properly. Have you tried another coil in the device and seated it correctly?

Lastly would be that if you’ve bought it from a vape store to take it back and get them to look at it.

If after all that you are still getting problems, can’t fix it or just want something new then there are some good kits you can choose.

Personally I’d always recommend Jac Vapour to a new vaper. Their kit is solid and works well. Their coils are good and last a long time and their customer service is excellent! If you get a problem with them their online team will help and they are also active on this forum to answer questions. There’s also a 15% discount for potv members.

My recommendation would be the vim for a small pod like system or the s22 kit. The 1 ohm coils are very good. Both of those have very good sized batteries that should last you all day.

Most tanks are recommended to be kept upright (even leak free ones)
So ensure the device is kept upright or as near as possible - they don't operate well upside down

Even very good tanks like Zenith/Zlide may not leak as such but a droplet of juice may enter inside coil
causing a very slight faint gurgle, which blowing gently through tip should expel the gurgle
(so I found if a Zenith has fallen over in my work back pack)

If you are out cycling, can you not fit an armband like Ipod's to help keep device sort of upright ???
or top pocket, inside jacket, though out running will be like shaking ya device to bits.....

JOGGING - GREAT IDEA - for mixing your own juice
but maybe not so great for shaking up a RDA - OK you got stock coil device but all the same
it isn't ideal giving any vaping device an equivalent of an epileptic fit so to speak
(might not be wise to carry a vaping device whilst doing the London Marathon but cycling should be OK)

Yes you can get a better, less prone to leaking device but imho it will not completely guarantee total leak free/zero gurgle
- if device is stored on its side or upside down long term, they should ideally be kept/stored upright where possible

Though as I said there are some almost leak free ones like Zenith
that only leak if you leave top open - but can very slightly flood if left lying around
best basic advice is to ensure devices are kept upright where possible
if that still doesn't help then look at others maybe

Thanks for the feedback.

Fuctifino Yes, the hope is that you keep it upright, but when you're trying to go about your normal day, it's hard to keep track on it at all times, but I'll maybe stick a jacket on that has a top pocket and conceal it tightly in there and hope for the best.

Appreciate all your answers, genuinely.

Maybe one of the vape carry pouches that attach to your belt will do the trick for times you have pocket limitations

Something like this

Had no idea they existed Frogprince, thanks for the heads up.

My Vape is quite small though, smaller than a Pen, a but chunkier though, I haven't yet tried those bigger Vapes, the sort of square shaped ones, would that pouch do for my Vape do you reckon?

Seriously you shouldn’t be having anywhere near these problems. I take all my things out in the pocket and they end up upside down and all over the place. I’m just back from a long walk with the dog and found my vape completely upended and not a drop spilled.

What you’re experiencing isn’t what should be happening.
